Staff photo Successful hunting Seniors see several greenhouses A very good time was had by all the senior citizens who went on the bus trip Monday to West Lorne. They toured through Swains" greenhouse. They then went to Loscati greenhouse and Jack Miner's bird sanctuary in Kingsville, where they saw a lot of geese and ducks and a big eaffle. They also enjoyed stopping at the Wheels Motor Inn in Chatham for dinner on the way home. Seniors meet Monday The Golden Agers meeting for this month will be held on Monday at 8:00 in the township hall. Please note change of date due to the elections. Married In London Congratulations to Mary - Ann Mathonia and Dan McIver who were married on Saturday at St. Peter's Basilica in London, with the reception held at the Hensall Community Centre for all their friends and relatives. Mary -Ann is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Mathonia. The couple will be living in Owen Sound. WI meeting The Zurich Women's Institute will meet on Wednesday, November 5th at 7:30 at which time they will have a demonstration of Christmas articles, presented by the manager of the Christmas Place in Grand Bend. Members are to bring a friend and visitors most welcome. Return from Holland Mrs. Mary Jacobs and son Peter returned home on Monday after a wonderful 16 day vacation in Holland visiting with her inlaws, several relatives and friends, and attending the wedding of her sister. Bag moose Charlie Eckel, Ken McCarter of Greenway, Charlie Browning, Crediton and Lawrence Becker, all went on a hunting trip to Timmons for a week, retur- ning home last Thursday with a moose. Mr. and Mrs. Oswald La Plante and Mr. and Mrs. Leo La Plante of Windsor were Saturday guests with Gen and Mike Doyle Lucien and Nora Corriveau spent a few days last week in London at the home of their daughter, Rose and John Kelly and attended the graduation of their grandson Mark, from Western University on Fri- day. Alida Rau is presently spending the week in Detroit and helping out her sister -In- law, Madeline Denomme who is home recuperating from a recent operation. • Mr. and Mrs. David Cyr and Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Durand attended the bap- tismal of Alicia Nicole Sauve in Chatham on Sun- day, daughter of Cathy and Rene Sauve (nee Cyr). Mrs. Dolly Jeffrey is hap- py to announce the arrival of her 20th grandchild, little boy born on Sunday to proud parents, Cathy and Brad Gregus of Exeter. A bridal shower was held on Friday evening at St. Boniface school gym for Carol Dietrich (fiance of David Cyr) with ap- proximately 60 friends and relatives attending and bringing best wishes and lovely gifts. The couple are to be Married in November. Mrs. Lee R filer spent last week in London at the home of her son and daughter-in- law, Peter and Bonnie Regier and helping out with the new baby Marc and children, Jeremy and Tom- my. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Rau attended the 60th wedding anniversary celebration of the former's sister, Verda and LaWrence Denomme in Clinton on Sunday. Congratulations to Denise and Kenny Schroeder, Hen- sall who's first baby, a girl, was born op Monday, Oc- tober 2 at Exeter Hospital. A granddaughter for Mrs. Evelyn Schroeder, Zurich and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bedard, Hensall. Several members of the Knights of Columbus from the area attended a commu- nion breakfast in Stratford on Sunday.
