box of Remembrance is
made of V8" stainless steel,
manufactured and donated
by Nuhn Industries Ltd. of
Wartburg. It is welded and
sealed with silicone sealant.
Need beaver leaders
First - Dashwood *Beaver
Colony held registration -
Wednesday, at, Dashwood
'community centre with 22
beavers present. They will
meet every Wednesday night
to do their exercises and
crafts. Any boy five, six or
seven is welcome to join.
Leaders are Roger and
Charlene Finkbeiner, Gary
and Marion Tiernan, Mike
Rau, Ken Genttner and
George Keller. Volunteer
leaders are badly needed.

Discuss pressure cooking
The third meeting of Dash-
wood Club two 4-H girls was
held at the Dashwood
community centre Monday
with 13 girls answering the
roll call "Report on home
activity for meeting two".
The ever popular cabbage
rolls and the friend pleasing
Chicken Cacciatore were
discussed. Cooking under
pressure with a pressure
cooker was discussed and•
how to use it safely and how
to take it slow and easy with
a slow cooker and .tips on
how to use it.
Following the girls had a
feast of cabbage rolls which
were cooked in -the slow
cooker..For home activity
the girls are to make chicken
cacciatore for their family.

days at Timmins on a fishing
trip but wet weather kept '
them from doing too, much
fishing.

MR. AND MRS. RANDY LOV1E
Susan Marie Masse and Randy James Lovie were married at
Grand Bend Catholic Church September 13. The bride is the
daughter of Leo and Theresa Masse, RR 2 Zurich and the
groom's parents are Carmen and Verna lovie, Grand Bend.
Officiating at the ceremoney was Father Boyer. The maid of
honour was Bev Powell; London and bridesmaids were Linda
Ferguson, Hensall, Julie Bedard, Zurich and Nancy -Rae Lovie,
Grand, Bend. Flower girl was Michelle •Lovie, niece of the
groom. Best man . was Bob lovie, Grand. Bend. Guests were -
ushered by Jim Ferguson, Hensall, Tim Lo`vie, Grand Bend and
Doug Masse of Zurich. The ring bearer was Todd Powell of
London, nephew' of the bride. After a wedding trip to
Niagara Falls, the couple are residing at RR 2 Zurich.

. to Boat Lake on a fishing trip
where the fishing was good.

Mrs. John Parker, Scott and
Ma tthew, London ; and Mr.
and Mrs. Tom Wolfe; Mark'
and Adam Sturat, Dor-

Mrs. Karen Pederson flew
to Chicago to meet her
daughter Mrs. Nolan of
California, from there they
flew to Rochester Minnesota
together where they were
met by relatives and stayed
with Mrs. Pederson's family ,
in Cresco, Iowa.
90th .birthday
Mrs.. Jessie Ford
celebrated her 90th birthday
on the weekend starting with
a family dinner at the Dash-
wood Community Centre. 138
relatives sat down to. a
delicious dinner after which
everyone enjoyed a short
programme.
Mrs. Ford has 42 grand-
children and 38 of them were
present. Each of the grand-
children personally
presented "Gramma" with a
carnation add all the great
grandchildren came up and
sang "Happy Birthday".
Two great great grand-
children were present.
Sunday "Open House" was
held at the Ford Homestead.
Many friends and relatives
dropped in to say Happy.
Birthday. Mrs. Ford
received many beautiful
flowers and gifts and wishes
to thank everyone.
Incorrect amount
Last week's paper stated
that the Lutheran Women's
Missionary League, Ontario
District had pledged $8,000 to
Z ion Lutheran Church; it
should have been $3,000.
