BONIFACE STUDENT COUNCIL — The student body at St. Boniface School.elected their student representatives and student council recently. Staff photo Guide registration up • Children enjoy jungle party Around 55 children bet- ween the ages of three and 12 went to the "Jungle Party" in the town hall last Thur- sday evening with Theresa Wilson in charge from Huron Zurich Carmel Sweeney County Library, in Goderich. Four kids won prizes for the summer reading contest and several others won coloring books. Brownies Registration up to date for Brownies are 19 and for Girl Guides there are 12 girls. They find it fun and Knowledgeable at the same time leai'hing to co-operate. Personals John and Bern Denomme spent a few days this past week with their children in Windsor. Peter and Bonnie Regier and two boys of London along with Louise Regier who is attending school of nursing at Victoria Hospital in London spent the week- end with their parents, Lee and Rose Regier. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Repar of Fort Erie are spending two weeks visiting with her Aunt and Uncle Gert and Maurice Durand and Mrs. Lydia Regier, also relatives in the area. Bonnie Schenk of the Beauty iODen, Zurich and George Gia from Rumers Salon in Exeter attended a L'Orel colour seminar in Toronto last Monday and Tuesday. Mrs. Eileen Consitt and Mrs. Annie- Finkbeiner recently enjoyed going on a four day bus trip to a lodge in Bracebridge. Best wishes for a speedy recovery are extended to Miss Verda Baechler who is now a patient in Exeter hospital. Jerome and Leo Paul Corriveau of London visited on Saturday with their parents, Lucien and Nora Corriveau at the Spruce Villa Apartments, Sunday. Visitors were, Hazel and Tony Masse along with Nora's great Aunt, 92 year old Lizzy Plante of Goderich. Curtis and Mary Gingerich and their children celebrated Thanksgiving early with a family dinner on Sunday. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gingerich and family of Elmira, Mr. and Mrs. Don Gingerich and family, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Gingerich and children of RR 2 Zurich, and Sandy McCarron of London. Clerk -Treasurers Sharon Baker, Joan bucnarme and Betty Oke attended a municipal finance seminar last Thursday and Friday at the Holiday Inn in London, and will be going to Guelph today to attend a Zone two meeting of A.M.C.T. A going away party was held Friday evening in Exeter for Bernadette 'and John `McAuley (nee Ducharme) at the home of her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Edsel Ducharme, as the couple and their daughter are moving toiDeep River (near Ottawa). - Sunday dinner guests with Earl and Anne Flaxbard were her Aunt, Mrs. Virginia Bedard and cousins Duane, Jor-anne, Bobby and Jacqueline Bedard all of Detroit Michigan. Along with Ruth -Ann Flaxbard, London, and Ross and Shirley Cooper with,Jon and Lori from Ingesoll, they also celebrated Earl's birthday. Congratulations to Rachelle LaPorte on com- pleting her course on Electrolysis with 981/2 per cent in Toronto this last month. She will be starting her business in her own home soon. 'Dennis and Meryl Corr- vieau attended a parish dinner. and .reception in Toronto last week -end in honor of their son, Father John Corriveau who has been transferred to Rome. Last Saturday a family get-together was held for Father John in London at the home of Harvey, and Barb Corriveau. They spent the day in Kitchener with Wilfred and Rose Mary Corriveau before leaving on his trip last Thursday. Madeline Gelinas spent the previous week in Sarnia with her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Bill Cuthert and their new born baby girl. "Melissa." Thursday to Saturday this past week Claude and Madeline Gelinas wert.in Toronto and attended the graduation ceremony in Oshawa of their oldest grandson Chris - son of Ed and Mary -Fran Damaren, Mrs. Louise Denomme (Remi) is a patient in South Huron hospital Exeter. Congratulations to Patrick and Terri Brandon (nee Rau) who were married on Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church by Father Bensette, with a lovely dinner and reception held at the Bayfield Arena. Miss Rhonda Hay, Joanne McBride and Karen Erb were among several who received awards at a commencement exercise on Friday evening at Cen-_ tral Secondary School in Clinton. A good time was had by all on Sunday at the second annual . Gelinas family reunion which was held at the Pineridge Chalet. - The children and adults played a few games and all enjoyed the music provided by Mozart's Melody Makers. The oldest person at- tending wat Mary Gelinas from the Rest -Home at 102 years and she stayed throughout the whole day! The youngest baby was only one week old and was son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Gelinas of London. Donna Klopp, Annie Fink- beiner (delegate) and Anne Flaxbard attended the Women's auatiliary of Waterloo Seminary at St. John's Lutheran church in Waterloo last Wednesday. Daughter's of Mr: and Mrs. Wilfred Corrvieau, Mary -Helen Rossitor, London and Beverley Morris and children of Michigan. Son Ted and Sarah Robson and farhilies of Windsor visited on the week -end along with Mr. and Mrs. Jules Corriveau of Detroit and all attended the wedding of Terri Rau and Pat Brandon Saturday. Ted and Jean Geoffrey are happy to announce the arrival of their 10th grand- child, a girl born on Sep- tember 24 to parents Colleen and Dan Wilson of Chatham. Jean is presently spending the week with her daughter and family in Chatham. Mozart and Marie Gelinas Sr. travelled to Detroit last Tuesday evening to pay their last respects to a cousin, Litten Jones who passed away Monday September 22. A family chicken barbeque was held last Sunday at the home of Bill and Blanche Ducharme (Avilla ). RR 2 Zurich as the couple celebrated their 37th wed- ding anniversary. Franklin and Leona Corrvieau of Windsor were guests on the weekend with relatives, Charlie and Madeline Rau and attended Terri's wedding a grand- daughter. Mrs. Juliette Denomme, Mrs. Julie Debus, Mrs. Josie Dietrich, Mrs. Therese Stark and Mrs. Josie Denomme all had a very inspiring week- end at the Retreat House in Oxley.. (near Leamington.) Alex and May Campbell of Toronto daughter -Rita and husband, Edward Bushe from Ottawa visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. John Denomme RR 2 Zurich and nieces, Toots Stark and Rose Regier and family.
