Visiting with Mrs. Noakes on Sunday were her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Uoyd Noakes Mt. Brydges and Mr. and Mrs. LHensalt Bertha M.Grsgor :William Noakes and Babe and Mrs. Rosa Harris of Crediton. Mrs. Noakes received many cards and messages and several ladies visited with her on Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Oren Williams and Mr. Gordon Robinson of Summerside, Prince Edward Island spent two weeks visiting with Mr. and Mrs. George Parker and sons. . Breaks Leg Mrs. Ernie Davis had the misfortune to drop into a hole while golfing on Monday and in so doing fractured her ankle. She was taken to South Huron Hospital, Exeter where the fracture was reduced and she was able to return to her home. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fisher and Les Mitchell visited with Louise Mitchell. Irene Finlayson visited her mother Mrs. Volland. Annie Finkbeiner visited Levina Finkbeiner. The high men's bowling score was Neil Regan with 132 and the ladies' high was Mary Parlmer 104. Celebrate 25th wedding anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Smith, Hensall celebrated their 25th wedding an- niversary on Saturday evening when they en- tertained relatives and friends at the Hensel! Community Centre, Hensall. Dancing was enjoyed to music by the "Swing Masters" orchestra of London. Mr. and Mrs. Smith's mother's Mrs. Pearl Petske, Exeter and Mrs. . Irene Smith Seaforth both attended. Alberta visitors Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Raeburn of Coronation, Alberta are holidaying with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Raeburn and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Slade. Thomson reunion The 41st annual Thomson reunion was held recently at the farm of Ken and Pat Britton, RR 2 Dublin with an attendance of 47. After a delicious smorgasbord dinner a short business meeting was held with vice-president Ken Britton in charge. A moment of silence was held in memory of any members who had passed away during the past year. Greetings were extended through a telephone call from John and Loreen Thomson in Arizona. Results of the sports were: races for children four and under: Jordan Stanlake; seven and under: Steven Foster; 10 and under: Janet Britton; . boys 11 and up: Bruce Thomson; girls 11 and up:. Joanne Pepper; balloon toss relay: Clarence Preistap; Pam Foster; Wheelbarrow race: Janet Britton and Brenda Pepper; call hi Shoe race: Laura Britton. It was decided to hold the picnic next year on the third Sunday inJuly at the farm of Ken and Pat Britton RR 2 Dublin. Officers for next year are: president Ken Britton; vice president: John Thomson; secretary treasurer: Joyce Pepper; lunch committee : Norm and Mabel Stanlake, Ken and Pat Britton. Miss Kathryn Sells of London was a weekend visitor with Miss Greta Laramie. Mrs. Mabel (Fee) Ball of London and friend visited last weekrwith Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noakes. Miss Kathryn Amess of London vacationed last week with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noakes. Mr. Michael Davis of Vancouver, B.C. surprised his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Davis by flying here to visit with them also with his sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rathwell and Katie. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shaddick and family of Kitchener visited on the weekend with the former's mother Mrs. Pearl Shaddick.
