Staff photo • Pork barbecue successful A big crowd of people gathered together at the home of Bob and Faye Forrester. on Sunday and all enjoyed a "pig" barbecue which they had started to cook on an out -door spit - on Saturday. Recent guest of Mrs. Seleda Steckle were, Mary and Colin Henderson of Toronto; Jim and Carolyn Steckle and two children, New Hamburg; and Bill and Betty Steckle, Bayfield. Placing second with 25 first place finishes were Kentner and Smith of Guelph., The Guelph pair were best in bantams with 31 top prizes. Next came Orville Shewfelt . fo Kincardine with 16 red ribbons. In_ pigeons, Emery Baechler of Goderich was best while And Ric@ of Goderich took, the most rabbit prizes. Cattle In sheep Elmer Armstrong of St. Pauls was best in Lincoln, Louis Fmke of Elmwood was tops in Oxford - Downs and Leichester, Edward Jackson, Harriston was tops in Shropshire and Dorset. Winners in horse showing were Jim Stewardson, Wyoming, : Hugh Love, Atwood and Tom Penhale, Bayfield.
