DABA Dinner Dashwood and Area Business Association held their Christmas dinner December 17 at the Dashwood hotel. There were 43 in atten- dance to enjoy a delicious turkey dinner. With Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laing on Saturday were Marilyn and Alex Zimmer and family, Stratford, Jeffrey and Margaret Allen, Guelph, Andrew Laing and Helen Ben- ninger, Toronto. Janice and Ilugh Scott hosted the Scott family gathering on Sunday. On Christmas Day gather- ings were held at the homes of the Eldon Aliens, John Scotts and Gordon Laings. On Thursday afternoon seven shut-in boxes were packed at the home of Hazel Harburn and delivered to Jean Miller and Margaret Jones, Mitchell; Grace Scott, Seaforth; Bili McCurdy, Clin- ton; Lloyd MacDougall, Hen - sail; Elizabeth Ramsey and Calder and Lila McKaig. Cromarty. The Rev. Keciieth Knight spoke on the theme, The Point of Christmas, at a well - attended service on Christmas Sunday. The choir sang the anthem, In Bethlehem that Night. Several from Cromarty at- tended the carol service in Caven Church, Exeter, on Sunday evening. Nine members of Cromarty choir were part of the massed Ex- eter, Hensall, Cromarty choir, and also sang a number with Mary F. Dow as pianist. Cheryl Lynn was able to be home with her parents, Irene and Gerald Lynn and family, over the Christmas season. Cheryl had been in Universi- ty Hospital with a very badly injured back, from an aut- moboile accident in late September. She will have to return for further treatment but hopefully only for a short time. Congratulations! to Florence and Gerald Millson on the safe arrival of their grandson, Martin Gerald Glavin. A brother for Leona and Mark. St. James Church, Clandeboye are starting their winter euchre parties, begin- ning January 8 at 8:30 p.m. Wedding bells will be ring- ing in this area in July, accor- ding to reports floating around over Christmas.
