Times Advocate, 1984-12-19, Page 43CHRISTMAS Hy Lori Parker Grade 7, Usborne Central Christmas, is the new fallen snout, And children faces all aglow. Toys and all kinds of candy, In our stockings, they taste so dandy. Santa Claus and his round belly, When he walks it shakes like jelly. But most important of all, When Christ was born in a stall. Three, wise men came from a far. They followed the light, of the guiding star. In Bethlehem they came to stay, They found the babe upon the hay. CHRISTMAS IS.... Grade 7, Usborne Central Christmas is the thought of many years ago; Where Jesus was being born, Christmas is not the time to mourn; Cause on Christmas there is Tots to do. Christmas is opening presents and stockings, And is a Joly snowman; and on Christmas no man, likes havingt alot of work. c,a pias Rin awn 4.21 444:2 ;Imo pidra AG Ara errs oat an A.w Ada CUR RiieAiiss Qatar; • •p NGS - 4 g " )j*Wishing you much 1 happiness and hoping -. your dreams will 1 all come true.We say 1) "thanks" for your 1 ,l continuing faith in us. ikil iii.,i 1 A sincere wish for a Merry Christmas and thank you for letting us serve you. WREATH By Stael Martin Huron Centennial - Grade 3 They are made up of lots and lots of leaves. Wreaths are shaped 'round. Wreaths are always colourful. They are nice decorations, I think wreaths are a kind of Christmas trees. CANDY CANE By Samanta Scott Iluron Centennial - Grade 3 It is a pretty candy cane. If you turn a candy cane upside down it looks like a pipe. I can decorate a candy cane so it looks pretty. 1 can hang it on a Christmas tree. A candy cane is red green white and taste great but Christmas is the best time I can hardly wait. DEAR SANTA Dear Santa: How is it at the North Pole? Is the wether good? Is Rudolph shining up his nose for Christmas eve? Up here we are getting a little bit of snow. Are the eleves working hard for Christmas eve? I hope you didn't eat a lot of cookies. So you can't get down the chimney. We are going to leave the Christmas tree on for you and some cookies for you and carrotos for the raindeer. How is Mrs. Claus? I hope you have a nice Christmas. Love Kerri Barraclough Huron Centennial - Grade 3 P.S. Christmas Time is filled with joy, With holly and with fun, It gives the Christmas spirit, To you and everyone. Christmas Time will soon be gone, And then we'll say goodbye, To all our relatives and friends, Then all the fun shall die. CHRISTMAS EVE By Brent McDonald Exeter P.S., Grade x Christmas was just a few hours away. When t set out milk and cookies so Santa would stay. I snuggled up in my favorite chair, Hoping when 1 woke up he'd he there. Snoozing peacefully 1 heard the sound of a foot. Turning my head, I saw a man all covered in soot. He shook off the soot and cleaned his boot, He laid some presents under the tree. There were so many he could've been on a spree. I grabbed the Polaroid to get a shot of him, Then he touched his nose and he was up the chimney again. And as I looked out at the moon. I heard a jolly Christmas tune. As he rode away, out of sight The song put Inc to sleep for the night. AN UNUSUAL PRESENT By ('indy. Dailies Exeter 1'.S.. Grade s Christmas morning came very quickly.
