1t is that time of year again
when many staff Christmas
parties are being held. A few
that took place recently were:
for the employees of the
Tasty -Nu Bakery, at Sanders
and office staff at Dr.
Wallaces at Hessenland.
The Chamber of Commerce
held their Christmas dinner
along with their wives at the
Dominion on Saturday even- -
ing with the draw being made
for first prize of $500 won by
little Mellissa Meidinger,
daughter of Wayne; $200.
went to Karl Regier and $100
to Sharon Brokenshire. All
ticket proceeds wiU go toward
local community projects.
The Lions club enjoyed
their annual Christmas party
and dinner along with their
spouses on Monday,
December 1 at the Dominion
and everyone excha : ed : ifts
they had brought.
The Zurich firemen, ac-
companied by their better
halves, enjoyed a Christmas
turkey. dinner at the Domi-
nion last Friday night.
The family of Mr. and Mrs.
Gerald O'Rourke along with
their grandchildren (total of
25) enjoyed a delicious
Christmas turkey dinner with
all the trimmings at the
Dominion oil Sunday..

Helene Ducharme spent a
few days last week with her
sister Diane Ducharme in
London and niece Angie, who
is in the hospital.

been revised from an original
estimate of $11,130 to $11,310.

for January. 21 at, 10:41 a.m.

with her daughter and fami-
ly in Nova Scotia.
Saturday was a lovely sun-
ny day for our Santa Claus
parade. For those who miss-
ed seeing it, you sure did miss
out on a good thing! 11 was
really a nice parade. All ,who
worked so hard getting, floats
ready for it are to be con-
gratulated on a job well done!
The children went over to
the arena afterwards where
they saw three films and en-
joyed some chocolate milk.
Each one got a chance to talk
to Santa and were given a bag
of candy.
A delicious turkey dinner
with all the trimmings
catered by Birdie Finkbeiner
was enjoyed by residents of
the Maplewoods Apts. last
Wednesday. Following the
meal all joined in singing
Christmas carols.
Mrs. Marcella Dietrich had
the misfortune of falling in
her apartment last week and
as a result broke her hip and
is now a patient in St.
Joseph's Hospital.
Blanche Overholt has
returned home from being in
the hospital last week.
Last Wednesday,
December 12, twelve
members of the Golden Agers
club in Zurich joined those
from Grand Coves Estates,
Grand Bend, on a bus trip to
Hamilton Place where they
enjoyed the "Geritol Follies"
Christmas show.
Mrs. Sandra Bradford of
Lee. Massachusetts returned
home on Monday after spen-
ding a week's vacation wjth
her sister and family, Carol
and Pete Deitz, HR 2 Zurich,
and with her mother, Mrs.
Connie Lewis at the
Maplewoods apartments.
