A few that took place recently were: for the employees of the Tasty -Nu Bakery, at Sanders and office staff at Dr. Wallaces at Hessenland. The Chamber of Commerce held their Christmas dinner along with their wives at the Dominion on Saturday even- - ing with the draw being made for first prize of $500 won by little Mellissa Meidinger, daughter of Wayne; $200. went to Karl Regier and $100 to Sharon Brokenshire. All ticket proceeds wiU go toward local community projects. The Lions club enjoyed their annual Christmas party and dinner along with their spouses on Monday, December 1 at the Dominion and everyone excha : ed : ifts they had brought. The children went over to the arena afterwards where they saw three films and en- joyed some chocolate milk. Each one got a chance to talk to Santa and were given a bag of candy. Mrs. Marcella Dietrich had the misfortune of falling in her apartment last week and as a result broke her hip and is now a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital. Blanche Overholt has returned home from being in the hospital last week. Last Wednesday, December 12, twelve members of the Golden Agers club in Zurich joined those from Grand Coves Estates, Grand Bend, on a bus trip to Hamilton Place where they enjoyed the "Geritol Follies" Christmas show.
