One day Santa a:id his
reindeer were outside when
they heard Rudoloph
whimpering behind the house.
Santa went and looked to see
what was wrong. Santa said,
"Rudolph, what's wrong?"
Rudo:ph replied, "Nothing,
Santa." Santa said, "Oh yes
there is.
"Rudolph remarked sadly,
"My nose won't shine any
more Santa". Santa had a
worried look on his face.
THE LATE CHRISTMAS
By Paul Nutt
Stephen Central -Grade 6
One Christmas Eve when
Santa had a hard day in his
workshop he was very tired.
When he had a nap he slept
until Christmas morning.
All of the children woke up
with excitement hoping to
have lots of goodies and toys,
to their surprise there were no
toys at all.
Santa was shocked when he
found out that he slept
through Christmas. So the
next night he got his sleigh
ready and went out and gave
all of the children their toys in
double for being so tate.

THE MEANING OF
CHRISTMAS
By Phil Bell
Lucan
The trees are green.
The snow is white.
These are the colours
Of our hearts delight.
We wait for the season
That makes our hearts jolly.
We decorate with tinsel.
Mistletoe and holly.
We all look for This festive
season,
But we tend to forget
The honest reason.
We celebrate the day
The Christ Child was horn.
in that dark manger.
On that brisk winter morn.
The cattle were lowing
But failed to awake,
This babe in the manger.
No sound he did make.
We give gifts
To our hearts delight.
Merry Christmas to all.
To all a good night.

Rudolph fell asleep in the
cold, cold weather. It was

house. Santa was getting
ready for the Christmas Eve
trip. But no Rudolph had
shown up to see what was go-
ing to happen tomorrow.
Rudloph was still sleeping
in the fog when there was a
voice calling "Rudolph,
Where are you?"
Rudolph couldn't hear
where the voice was because
he couldn't see the person
calling. It was Santa. Santa
started to go and look for
Rudolph and then all of a sud-
dent Santa remembered "I
charged up Rudolph's battery
so I should be able to find
him."
Santa saw a little dim light
in the distance. He followed
the dim light and he saw that
it was getting brighter and
brighter as soon as he got
closer to it. When ever he got
so close, it was Rudolph.
Rudolph was very worried
because he couldn't find the
way back home. But he had
the very worried look washed
away when he met Santa.
They both went back to the
house and they were singing
on the way, "I'm Glad, I'm
Glad, to have, to have, a
friend, a friend , like Santa
Claus, like Santa Claus."
They were both happy that all
their problems had been solv-
ed and they felt glad.
When they reached the

I may be short,
But I'm not bad,
I just want to be apart.
I want to be a Christmas tree,
Carried home on a sturdy
cart.
Here comes a little boy,
Looking for a tree.
Wouldn't it be something
though?
If that little boy picked me!
Here's one Dad,
I like him best,
Can I keep him,
Oh, please?
I guess so, Son,
He's short and stout,
He'll be all right for you
We'll take him home,
And dress him up,
Make him look like the rest in
Rome.
I am a little Christmas tree
I'm nice and cozy warm
I have a home,
And a family.
In a nice little hut in Rome.

CHRISTMAS TIME
By Ann Marie Mittelholtz
Precious Blood -Grade 4
Once there was a family
that lived in the country out-
side of Exeter. It was four
weeks from Christmas and
every body was buying the
Christmas presents. People
were shopping with each
other. When it was three
weeks from Christmas we put
all our decorations up except
our Christmas tree. The
house looked very
Christmasie.
When it was a week from
Christmas they got their
Christmas tree. They put it up
and decorated it. They started
putting presents under the
tree. Soon it would be
Christmas Eve.
It was Christmas Eve and
the children had gone to bed.

SANTA CLAUS-
' DIDN'T COME
By Scott Parsons
Precious Blood -Grade 4
One Christmas Eve a boy ex-
pected lots of toys. He got
sick. It was the flu. He wanted
to write a letter to 'Santa.
Then he finally gave up. He
hoped Santa would come this
year.
One day they had a bliz-
zard. He knew for sure that
Santa wouldn't come now.
They couldn't even get out the
door. They had to climb out
the window to go Christmas
shopping.
Then it was Christmas Eve.
The boy was anxious. He
thought he wouldn't get
anything.
In the morning, he was
shocked. There was lots and
lots of toys. And he was
happy.

Last year our friends would

having fellowship with the
