Was hand his head
He had to get back to good
home
Sweet home, but how?
Nothing left for him to do
So he thought and thought
Like me and you
Then he saw it!
Could it be there?
He jumped on the plane
Forgetting the fare
Upon arriving in the North
Santa worked for all he was
worth
Not wasting time, only a few
hours more
He packed up tile toys, then
ran out the -door
He jumped in his plane
Then the presents delivered,
The job done again
Santa was home before it was

To all a good night.

CHRITMAS PARTY
By lan 1'erbeek
Grade 7. Usborne Central
Christmas is one very special
day,
For we think of Jesus and
where he lay,
And we also think of Santa
and his presents,
For the rich people and the
peasants,
Santa is so jolly, nice, and
kind,
But there are others people
imagine in their mind.
Christmas is for feasting
and for fun,
And for boys and girls to run,
run, run;
Little and big kids have
frolick and fun,
Outside in the snow with
lots of sun.
So in my opinion
Christmas is lots of fun.
THE LAZY ELF
By .teff Sweitzer
Stephen Central -Grade 6
Once upon a time there was
an elf. He was so lazy that
when he was asked to make 10
dolls he got one done. And was
he ugly! Ile was as ugly as an
elephant's toe.
All he wanted to do when he
grew up was to be a doctor.
One day while he was dream-
ing he got a phonecall from
Santa. The sleigh broke down
and he wanted lazy elf to fix
it.
He got to the sleigh and
nobody was there. Ile got ito
the sleigh and fell asleep.
When he awoke he was in a
stocking above a fireplace.
The Lazy elf stayed with the
stocking owner and never was
lazy again.
came with a bound.
He was dressed in asbestos
from head to foot,
And his spacesuit was tar-
nished with ashes and soot.
He then turned suddenly his
jet -pack on,
Gave it the gas and then he
was gone.
But I heard him exclaim as he
drove out of sight
"MERRY CHRISTMAS '1'()
ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD
NIGHT."
