PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED
OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT #78 AFFECTING HAY
TOWNSHIP
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron
will hold a public meeting on Monday, January 7th, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. in
the Hoy Township Municipai. Office in Zurich to consider a proposed of-
ficial plan amendment under Section 17 of the Planning Act.
The proposed official plan amendment would add a policy to the Land Divi-
sion Policies for those areas designated "Recreation". The policy would
state that consents may be granted when a residence has been used on
a full-time basis prior to the adoption of this amendment and subject to
all other policies governing consents in the Recreation designation.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or ver-
bal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed
official plan amendment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed official plan amend-
ment is available for inspection at the Huron County Department of Plan-
ning and Development, Court House, Goderich, between 8:30 a.m. and
4:30 p.m. and at the Township Municipal Office in Zurich during regular
office hours.

PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED
OFFICIAL PLAN #77 AFFECTING HAY TOWNSHIP
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron
will hold a public meeting on Monday, January 7, 1985 at 1:30 p.m. in the
Hay Township Municipal Office in Zurich to consider a proposed official
pion amendment under Section 17 of the Planning Act.
The proposed official plan amendment would change the designation on
Block "C" and Lots 1 to 42 of Registered Plan No. 536 known as St. Joseph
ShoresSubdivision, from "Recreation" to Urban". The subject lands are
located west of Highway 21, on the south boundary of the hamlet of St.
Joseph (as shown on the attached map). This amendment would provide
the policy basis to enable a zone change that would permit permanent
residential dwellings rather than seasonal residential dwellings which ore
presently permitted.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or ver-

official plan amendment.

Lions
Seventeen members and
four guests attended the Lions
meeting at the Dominion on
November 19. Inter -club
visits were made to Bayfield,
Exeter and Huron Park.
A motion was made to send
$125.00 to the Huron County
Christmas Bureau and 9400.00
to the 40th anniversary com-
mittee. The money for the
Ronald McDonald bricks are
to be handed in now.
The Zurich club are fourth
in the Governors Efficiency
contest with 930 points.
A very inspiring and
spiritual 40 hours mission
retreat was had by the
parishioners of St. Boniface
from last Sunday to Wednes-
day with the devotiouz given
by Fr. Jerry Grant, Fr.
Mooney and the help 1,1
several priestafrom the sur-
rounding area.
Welcome to town to Doug
and Judy Mock of Hensall
who have moved into the
former home of Mr. and Mrs.
Don Van Patter.
Morning Break was held at
the United Church on Tues-
day morning with guests Mar-
tha Weigand who demon-
strated the making of
Christmas decorations and
crafts. Among upcoming
events, the ladies will start
knitting mittens for the "Mit-
ten Tree".
Colleen and Christa Keller,
piano pupils of Laurie Erb,
participated on November 28
in the "Canada Music Week
Festival" held in London. Col-
leen placed third in her class
with a mark of 85. Christa
placed first in her category
witha mark of 84 for a piece
she composed herself. Both
girls are the daughters of
Bonnie and Wayne Keller.
The figure skating club are
taking orders for poinsettia
plants (pink, red or white) at
$6.00 each. If you want one
phone Laura -Ann Overholt
soon at 236-46'78.
Tonight, December 5 is the
Lions Turkey Bingo at the
arena.
Members of Village Council
along with their wives en-
joyed a delicious Christmas
turkey dinner at the Domi-
nion on Saturday evening.

The Garden City Kids
hockey team were in town all
weekend playing against our
Zurich team. The children
were billeted at various home
in town. A dance was held for
the parents in the evening at
the arena. In turn Garden Ci-
ty will play host to the Zurich
team in February.
St. Peter's CWL.
St. Peter's CWL would like
to say thanks to all who sup-
ported their penny sale last
Wednesday. Some pf the win-
ners were: Christmas tree,
Leon Bedard, half a bushel of
apples, Bernadette Denonune
and Peter Jeffrey.
A reminder that Saturday,
December 8 is the Feast of the
Immaculate Conception and a
special mass for "Respect for
Life" will be said at 9:00 a.m.
St. Peter's parish are plan-
ning to have a wine and
cheese card party at the hall
on Wednesday, December 19
at 8 p.m.
