IN MEMORIAM —
CRAWFORD – In loving
memory of our dear mother and
grandmother Fern, who passed
away November 16, 1970. -
In a quiet country graveyard,
Where whispering breezes blow,
Lies our mother we loved so
dearly,
Who left us, so sadly, 14 years
ago.
Beautiful memories spun in gold,
These treasures so gentle,
We tenderly hold.
Sadly missed and remembered
with love, son Ron, daughter-in-
law Pat, and grandchildren Sue
and Bill 47c
KENNEY — In loving memory of
a dear husband Cliff, who passed
away one year ago, Nov. 25, 1983.
In a quiet county graveyard.
Where the breezes gently blow,
Lies one i loved so dearly,
qqnd lost one year ago.
Ile bid farewell tole) one,
He said goodbye to none.
Before 1 knew his spirit flew,
And from me he had gone.
It broke my heart to lose him.
But he did not go alone,
For part of me went with him.
The day God called him home.
Lovingly remembered and sad-
ly missed by his wife Mary. 47'
KENNEY — in loving memory of
a dear father and grandfather,
Cliff, who passed away 1 year
ago. November 25, 1983.
What we would give if we could
say
Hello, Dad in the same ofd way.
To hear your voice, see your
smile,
To sit with you and chat awhile.
So you who have a father,
Cherish him with care,
For you'll never know the
heartache
Till you see his vacant chair
Sadly missed by son Ron,
daughter-in-law Irene, grandsons
Derek and Chad 47•

Cliff, who passed away 1 year
ago, November 25, 1983
God looked around His garden
And found an empty space
He then looked down upon this
earth
And saw your tired face
Ile put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best
Ile knew that you were suffering
And he knew that you were in pain
Ile knew that you might never gel
well
Upon this earth again.
Ile saw the road was getting
rough
And the hills wore hard to climb
So ile closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be Thine"
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
Always remembered and sadly
missed by Doreen, Charles,
Heather and Charlene 47c
McCLENNAN — lh loving
memory of a special mother, who
passed away November 20. 1983.
We do not need a special day to
bring you to our mind
For days we do not think of you
are very hard to find
They say time heals all sorrows
and helps us to forget
But time has only proved to us
how much we miss you yet
Always remembered and sadly
missed by Audry and Brian

IN MEMORIAM ---
McCLENNAN in loving
memory of Grandma McClennan,
who passed away one year ago,

She would not wish for sorrow,
Nor would she wish for tears,
But just to be remembered,
By us throughout the years.
Always remembered by

MAC KINNON — Mary Elizabeth
Shaw 1943-1989
Do not stand at my grave and
I am not there. I do not sleep.
1 am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened
grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the
morning's hush.
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
1 am the soft stars that shine at
night.
Do not stand at my grave and
cry;
1 am not there. I did not die.
Alive in many hearts. 47c
SCHENK — In loving memory of
a dear son, Donny who passed
away five years ago.
If my prayers could do
the things 1'd want them to,
I'd pray night and day
to have you back to stay.
It was a shock to lose you
But God loved you too
So He said "Come son,
your days on earth are done."
Sadly missed by his mother,
dad and sisters. 47c
SCHENK — In loving memory of
Donald Schenk who passed away
suddenly five years ago, Nov. 19.
1979.
You meant so very much to us
That nothing we can say
Can tell the sadness in our hearts,
As we think of you today.
It doesn't matter the day or year
There are always memories,
always a tear.
Memories don't fade they just
grow deep
For someone we loved, but
couldn't keep.
Lovingly remembered and sad-
ly missed. Glen and Marg Neeb

Visual impact
main problem
A new study to pick a
transmission line from the
Bruce Nuclear station could
result in that line coming
close to Exeter, but efforts
are made to keep such lines
from coming too close to built-
up areas.
That was the message
council members were given
Last week by Dave Abbott of
Ontario Hydro.
Abbott outlined the exten-
sive public involvement that
will be undertaken as studies
commence on the study area,
which is between the nuclear
station on Lake Huron and
London.
It is expected that prospec-
tive corridors could be iden-
tified by January.
in answer to a question
from Mayor Bruce Shaw, the
Ontario Hydro official said
the major adverse effect on
the town should a corridor be
chosen in close proximity
would be one of "visual
impact".
lie said there would be few
direct benefits to Exeter
should the line come close to
the municipality, although the
line itself will ensure the Lon-
don and area of a more secure
power supply.
UCO names
new executive
The Board of Directors, of
United Co-operative of On-
tario (UCO) has appointed
Robert E. Bethune, vice-
president, co-operative
development and corporate
secretary, as UCO's interim
chief executive officer.
Bethune will carry full
responsibilities for the posi-
tion until the appointment of
a permanent chief executive
officer.
The Board also announced
the appointment of T.P. (Pat)
Bell, as special advisor to the
Board and senior manage-
ment of UCO.
"We are pleased," said Bob
Down, UCO president, in
making the announcements,
"that we can provide our Co-
op with this expert leadership
team To be able to make the
CEO appointment from our
own senior management staff
indicates the expertise of the
people who work for UCO. In
addition, we will have the
benefit of the extensive retail,
co-operative and financial ex-
perience that Pat has through
his 33 years of experience
with Federated Co-operatives
Ltd., (FCL), in
Saskatchewan.
Bethune was appointed
vice-president, corporate ser-
vices and corporate secretary
in June 1981 Earlier this
year, this position had an ex-
pansion of responsibilities and
the title was changed to vice-
president, co-operative
development and corporate
secretary.
Task force
is underway
The Ontario Task Force on
Health and Safety in
Agriculture, established by
the Ministry of Agriculture
and Food and the Ministry of
Labour, is beginning a series
of public hearings in
November.
The Task Force was set up
in October 1983 to investigate
and report on the need for
protection of the health and
safety of farmers, farm
workers and members of
farm families engaged in
farm work.
Representatives of
organizations and individuals
are invited to present their
concerns about the health and
safety of farmers and farm
workers at the public hear-
ings from November 1984 to
January 1985.
Although the task force
would prefer receiving writ-
ten briefs prior to the hearing,
it also welcomes oral presen-
tations. Participants are ask-
ed to advise the task force of
the time and the meeting they
plan to attend.
"The task force is par-
ticularly interested in views
about the nature of occupa-
tional health and safety
hazards in agriculture and
where the need for protection
exists," said Dr. N. Richard
Richards, chairman. "It
seeks information on
variables in occupational
health and safety ex-
periences, including age and
involvement to the industry.
Suggestions about
mechanisms for providing
protection against health and
safety hazards in farm work
will also be welcomed."
There will be two meetings
at each hearing location from
2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.
Meetings will be held in the
following locations:
November 20 Chatham,
Municipal Building 435 Grand
