At the Granton United
Church the Rev. Bruce Pierce
was in charge of the morning
worship and entitled his
message "How do you face
trouble - So you get better or
bitter?" Is there any good
news for those that suffer?
Some turn to religion and
some just get bitter. We need
to devote time to talk to God
in prayer, then listen for His
answer.

hold the annual Remem-
brance Day Service in the

place of the usual one, at the

charge of the Rev. Pierce and
the Rev. Peter Derrick, Rec-
tor of the St. Thomas

queline Pierce favored with a
vocal solo "Unity" the words
and music were written by
herself.

attendance. The reading of
the names of those who gave
their lives and those who

die and John Herbert. A mo-
ment of silence was observed.

wreath was placed in the
Church. At the conclusion of
the service, a colour party led
the parade to the cenotaph,
where wreaths were placed at
its base by the Lucan Legion,

Jack Riddell and individual
wreaths by families.

service was well attended on
Sunday evening in the United
Church basement.

rick was in charge of the mor-
ning service assisted by John
