MR. AND MRS. GEORGE ONIFRICHUK
Mary Gwynneth Susan Hockey and George John
Thomas Onifrichuk were united in marriage on August
11, 1984 at St. Paul's United Church in London with Rev.
Ruggles Constant officiating. The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hockey, Dundas and Mr. and
Mrs. George Onifrichuk of Waterford are parents of the
groom. The maid of honour was Michelle Palmer, friend
of the bride and bridesmaids were Brenda Pincombe
and Tracey Overholt, nieces of the bride; Alison Mahon,
friend of the bride and Brenda Onifrichuk, sister of the
groom. The best man was Len Onifrichuk, brother of
the groom and guests were ushered by David Hockey,
brother of the bride, Roger Onifrichuk, cousin of the
groom; Jeff Rowe, friend of the bride and groom and
Barry Korobka, friend of the groom. After a wedding
trip on a Caribbean cruise, the couple has taken up

Kinette craft event
is another success
The Exeter Kinettes held
their annual Christmas craft
show and sale Saturday at the
Exeter Legion. It was another
very successful show.
It featured 41 craft tables of
various knitted, crocheted
and sewn articles, also, stain-
ed glass, wood carvings,
ceramics, oil paintings and
even cabbage patch dolls and
accessories. The Kinettes sold
coffee, tea and baking from
the tea corner.
Some of the exhibitors
donated door prizes. The win-
ners were: Note Smith,
Crediton a hand towel from
Arlene Heimstra, Mildred
WI president makes
numerous suggestions
Mrs. R.B. Johnson of
Cochrane, president of the
Federated Women's
Institutes of Ontario,
attended the London Area
convention Nov. 1 and 2 at
the St. Marys community
centre. She brought the 427
delegates and members up
to date on FWIO business.
Many important decisions
have been completed this
past year. If any member
has a message for FWIO
please let your board
directors know. 'Use your
F'WIO conveners as
resource material.
Suggestions for study
meetings are junk foods,
pornography, and banking.
Make young people
welcome by including them
at meetings and become
interested in their needs,
Mrs. Cochrane suggested.
Understanding is important
to success and working
together.
October was agri-food
month and there will be a 13
week segment in Grade 9
taught in all schools in the
province to instill m
students' minds the impact
agriculture has on every-
one's livelihood.
Is the farm home safe?
What about the housewife?
Grandma is not there to
babysit while she is outside
the house. There is great
concern about health and
safety on the farm.
Child care, the Divorce
Act and the Cri.-ninal Code
are high on the agenda and
are recognized as such by
all levels of government.
Mrs. Joe Reily of Mt.
Brydges and Mrs. Clarence
Lewis of Granton chaired
the meeting.
Mrs. Olive Gowan of
Granton, North Middlesex
District and Mrs. Glen
Gordon of Komoka, were in
charge of the memorium
service.
Mrs. Reily said this was
the end of her term of office
and she asked members
when inviting guests to al-
ways send proper addresses
and times. In the past year
she attended nine out of 10
district annuals. The tiny
seed of Adelaide Hoodless
has grown to a tree and W.I.
is a heritage for all to
cherish, she suggested.
Presentations were made
to all past presidents,
secretarys and treasurer.
Reports from standing
conveners were given.

Friday morning's session
was chaired by Mrs. Riley..
An emergency resolution
was presented and read by
Mrs. Lillian White and was
submitted by Lucan
Women's Institute which
read: "Whereas under
present parole laws,
dangerous criminals are
sometimes granted parole.

The resolution was moved
by Iva M. Hodgins and
seconded by Lillian Brown,
president Bernice Lockyer,
secretary Mabel Froats.
This resolution was
sustained.
Crediton 4-H
pick champs

The fifth 4-H Meeting for
Crediton 5 was held October
10. At the meeting we discuss-
ed "Women in Sports", Food;
Fuel for sports and fitness,
Calorie Makers, and Sup-
pleness. We also found out
how flexible we are by sitting
on the floor, reaching as far
as we could on a ruler.
After we read over the
meeting we participated in
Donna Dawe's Dancercise
class at the Mt. Carmel
School gym. We finished off
the meeting by tasting an ap-
ple crunch sundae, one of the
recipes from our books.
The sixth meeting was held
October 15. For this meeting
we all participated in a ping-
pong tournament, mothers in-
cluded. The three final win-
ners were: .Jeanette Kaak,
Cannie Kaak, and Christine
Nirta
Also each girl prepared one
of the recipes from our book,
for our potluck supper, which
was enjoyed by all at the
home of our leader Mrs.
Diane Kaak.

Marks 90th birthday event
A 90th birthday party was
held Sunday for former Ex-
eter resident Irene Brintnell,
now of Huronview, at the
home of her son Jack. A bir-
thday lunch for the im-
mediate family was followed
by an open house. Sixty
guests, including Mrs. Brint-
nell's six children, grand-
children, great-
grandchildren, other family
members and friends wished
the guest of honour a happy
birthday.
MPP Jack Riddell attended
to bring his personal
greetings and present Mrs.
Brintnell with a con-
gratulatory plaque from the
province of Ontario.

Mrs. Burtons White Cookies
Blend 3/4 c. butter and shortening, add 1
c. white sugar and blend. Add 1 egg and
1/4 tsp. salt, 1 large tsp milk, sift 1','i c.
flour with tsp cream of tartar and 1 tsp.
baking soda. Mix together.
Break off pieces size of hazelnut and flat-
ten with fork. Piece of cherry may be
placed on top. Bake at 350° and keep
white.

3 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
Melt in your mouth Banana Muffins
2 cups flour 1 c. mashed bananas
1 cup sugar 2 tsp. baking soda.
1 c. Miracle Whip dressing
vanilla
Bake 375° for 20 min. or so.
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soli
1 tsp baking soda
2 c. grated carrots
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 c. drained crushed pineapple
Mix first three ingredients until smooth.
Add the next four ingredients combined.
Now add the next three ingredients one
of a o time. Mix well together all ingre-
dients. Bake at 3500 until done.
