Friendship series set to continue The 'Triencisktip Series" ryas hrst s a 11by the Spiritual Development Com- mittee of South Huron and District Association for the Mentally Handicapped in Ex- eter in October, 1982, and has been a very successful project. Friendship is a special ministry to and for physical- ly and mentally handicapped adults and children, using a series of specially printed Christian materials. With the help of many dedicated volunteer teachers, they strive to show and tell of God's love towards ALL of His children, including those with special needs. Together they form lasting earthly friendships, but above all seek to present Jesus Christ as their Saviour and greatest friend of all. Friendship meets each Thursday evening (from 7:15 p.m. to approx. 8:30 p.m.) in the Exeter United Church. The "Spring" portion of the Friendship Series ended with 23 students and 18 volunteer treachers. By working together, much was ac- complishedtand the spiritual gains and rewards many. Praise and thank God for leading! The Friendship Series pro- gram is set up in such a way that teachers are needed on a "one to one" basis with the students. That means, for each student one teacher is needed. As well, this season an increase in students is ex- pected. The volunteer teacher response in the past has been great and they look forward to September 1964.
