talents to be used while the
master was away. Our works
determine our genuineness in
our relationship with God.
The parable of the three
servanfs - show us the
following:
God gives us respon-
sibilities which are according
to our abilities. We all have
certain talents and individual-
ly we have a separate calling
from God but all are to build
the church and do the work of
the Lord.
The two men who were
Rev. Roger Mason opened
the service with choruses and
prayer. The hymn "Glory to
His Name" was sung by the
congregation. Prayer re-
quests were made known and
prayer was made by Ed
Butler.
Rev. Mason brought the
sermon from Matt: 25 'The
Parable of the Three Ser-
vants". Christ points out the
importance of our works by
telling the parable of three
servants who were each given
faithful received an equal
reward even though one had
more talents. The third one
who did nothing with his one
talent was cast away.
We should seek God's will in
what Ile wants specifically
for us to do for Him and
become aware of His calling
in our lives. First we must be
obedient to the Word I known
will of God found in scriptures
and God will show us in-
dividually what our talents
and abilities are.
