Summer- programs ending
By Lynne Farquhar
Summer programs will
soon be drawing to a close and
thoughts are now turning to
fall programs for 1984.
Anyone out there who has
any suggestions for new pro-
grams or has any area of ex-
pertise and would be willing
to instruct, give the Rec Cen-
tre a call. We're always,look-
ing for new ideas.
Due to the fact that our
ballet, tap and jazz instructor
Deb Homuth is expecting, we
are looking for a qualified in-
structor to fill in for Deb for
the fall session. Deb will be
back in January for the se-
cond session.
If we are unable to replace
Deb, we will try to extend the
winter session so we can ac-
commodate all of the
youngsters in the second half
and we will not offer the fall
class. Good luck to Deb and
Stu!
The Exeter Barracudas
swim team made an excellent
showing at the 1.C.S.A. finals
held in Clinton this past Satur-
day. The area youngsters
placed second to Clinton out of
the nine teams competing.
Congratulations also to the
Huron Park team who placed
seventh and did very well for
the size of their team.
The Barracudas, pool staff
and parents will be having
their wrap-up party in River-
view Park. today, Wednes-
day, at 5 p.m.
Lake Iluron Zone Sportsfest

in Kincardine. Good luck to
all the Exeter and area teams
who are signed up for events.
Thoughts will soon be turn-
ing to Sportsfest '8,5 which will
be hosted right here in Ex-
eter. We will need to put an
organizing committee
together to handle overall
plans for next year and we're
looking for volunteers.
We have many people in-
terested in convening and
helping with various events
but we need people for the
Sportsfest co-ordinating com-
mittee. We will need a chair-
man to co-ordinate the entries
committee as well as people
to look after Publicity and
Promotion, Facilities,
Finances, Concessions and
Washrooms, and
Accommodations.
1 won't lie and tell you it
isn't a big job but i know there
are a lot of good people out
there. The committee will
need to meet soon to get plans
rolling so if you're interested,
please call me at the Rec Cen-
tre (235-2833). Come on out
and help make Sportsfest '85
the best ever.
The "Pepsi Rock Video
