A recent farewell party was held for them at Ken Gascho's park which was attended by members of the Mennonite church. Thursday visitors with Mrs. Margaret Kalbfleisch were Mrs. Judy Biesinger from Listowel and Mrs. Patricia Pond of Elmira. The sisters are from a set of triplets who were once neighbours to the Kalbfleisch's when they lived In Elmira. ' Visitors with Mrs. Myrtle Deitz last week were her three sisters from Dearborn, Michigan and attended the Ortwein family reunion on Sunday July 29.'plose present came from such places as Kit- chener, London, Windsor, Cambridge, Michigan, Freelton, Cornwall and Zurich areas. Bob and Nancy Brown and family and Bob and Betty Kirk and family also spent the weekend in Port Stanley with the Merner's at the home of Bill and Joan Wakeling to see the "Tall Ships" and were joined by Hubert and Marge Schilbe on Sunday. Everyone is welcome to a Knights of Columbus family picnic (along with their, friends) this Sunday August 12 beginning at 2:00 p.m. held at the K of C hall grounds in St. Columbian. Bring along something for a pot -luck sup- per, and free hot-dogs will be available for the children, as well as games and races for them. (A hat will be passed for collection to help defray any expenses.) Mozart and Julie Gelinas Jr. and children spent three days last week with her sister and brother-in-law Rebecca and Ray Geromette in St. Clair Shores, Michigan and enjoyed going to the Detroit Zoo. Also spent the long weekend with friends, Ron and Donna Cork and family in Stratford and are planning to visit with Dan and Carrie Eybergen in Stratford on Thursday August 9th celebrating Aimee's birthday and Carrie's on the 8th. Gordie, Cecilia and daughter Kelly -Lynn Smith returned home safely on Thursday July 19 after a love- ly trip since the end of June, where they motored to see his sister, Sister Joyce Smith in Edmonton Alberta. Also visited for a few days with friends Marg and Car] Willert in Olds, Alberta and Ruth and Edgar Willert in Innisfail, Alberta and had a nice time while away seeing lots of sights. T -A photo. Youths at 4-H conference Last week, 33 fifteen year olds from Huron County at- tended 4-11 Regional Con- ference at Centralia College. They along with 4 -Hers from Grey and Bruce Counties had a chance to develop their leadership skills and 'meet new friends. The Conference which took place from August 1 to 3 in- volved a variety of guest speakers, films, discussions and athletic activities. On Friday afternoon, Marc Chalut took the residents for a bus ride around the Grand Bend area. They were amaz- ed to see the crowds of people and the traffic gathering for the Civic Holiday weekend. Bingo was played on Friday afternoon followed by refreshments. A number of our residents were able to go by bus to Friedsburg Days at Dashwood on Saturday after- noon to enjoy the parade and see familiar faces. The Sunday evening chapel service was conducted by Rev. Barbara Laing of Zurich and Dashwood United Churches.
