You_,asked for so little in life,
mother -

Your life was devoted to others
With love's helping hand and
prayer.
The years -we had together
Will be memories ourwhole life

With heartfelt pride we'll
remember
Being blest with a mother like
you.
The many things you did for us
In your kind and loving way,
You gave us years of happiness
No one can take away. -
Nothing could be more beautiful,
Than the memories we have of
You,
To us you were someone special
God must have thought so too.
If she, could have spoken before
she died,
These are -the words she would
have replied,
"This life for me has truly passed,
I loved you all to the very last.
Weep not for me, but courage
take •
And love one another for my

KIRK — In loving memory of a
dear grandma and great -
grandma Mabel Kirk, who pass-
ed away one year ago June 24,
1983.
Grandma
For thirty years I've known her
face,
And known her loving warm
embrace,
Her love's the kind that will never
end
It's a love that only a
grandmother could send.
She shared it %pally with one and
all
She held our hand, so we wouldn't
fall,
She gave to us a sense of pride,
She taught us to take all things in
stride.
Her sparkling eyes, her gentle
kiss,
Are something I will surely miss. .
Her loving touch, her lovely
smile,
Made - my life all seem
worthwhile.
And now with Grandpa, she can
rest,
Knowing' hat she did her best,
To make her family proud and
strong
To teach us all what's right and
wrong.
God bless her for the love she
shared,
God keep her for she always
cared.
Help us all to learn the way
She lived her life from day to day.

READY FOR CE — A arge number of boats participated in the annual Grand
Bend Yacht Club T00 race across Lake Huron to Port Sanilac and back on the
weekend. Several of the entries are seen at the starting line.
Storm makes harbour welcome
Sail race attracts 44.
If you happened to look out
over Lake Huron froth Grand
Bend beaches on Saturday.
about noon, and the horizon
was filled with sailboats, your
eyes were not deceiving you:
Forty-four. entries were
started from Grand Bend,
sailing to Port Sanilac, to
Goderich and back to our
shores, totalling 100 miles.
"Red. Cloud" carrying rac-
ing chairman and Past Com-
modore, Len Hume, anchored.
off -shore,- started each race
with a BOOM as Christine
Cramer pulled the trigger of
the starting gun. Al Jefferys
manned the flags, telling the
racers how many minutes un-
til sailing time and when to
get ready.
Throughout .the electrical
storm, Hume waited for the
first fleets to return and final-
ly they started to arrive
around 5:00 a.m. Sunday mor-
ning.- Results from the two
races were: in the PHF 'A'•
division, 1st was "Surprise"
from Sarnia YC, 2nd "Sand-
piper" from GBYC and 3rd
was "Tethani" from SYC. In
the PHF 'B' division, first was
"Straight Arrow" GBYC and
second was "Pageant" SYC.
In the Morcdivision, 1st in
the "Arriba from PHYC,
2nd "Canadian Yankee" SYC
and 3rd "Tracker" BYC. The
IOR division hal all three
winners from Bayfield YC,
"Bearcat", "Rebel" and
"Container" finishing in that
order.
Overall winner in the 100
was "Surprise" SYC,'claim-
ing the Labatt trophy and the
Oakwood Inn trophy for the
Grand Bend offshore series.
In the second race of 70
miles to Port Stanilac and
back to GB, the PHF "B"
division was won by "Night
Music," GBYC, 2nd "Stolen
Moments" GBYC and 3rd
was "Abundance" GBYC.
The steady overnight winds
with the storm kept the fleet
close together and many
crossed the finish line 12-15
minutes apart. Whether you
had the maximum crew of 16
or a minimum of four, I'm
sure that the Grand Bend pier
was a welcome sight early
Sunday morning.

Morrissey explained in his
sermon. The Holy Trinity ex-
emplifies the best in relation-
ships: the love of God the
Father as our Creator; the
love of God the Son as our
Reedeemer; and the constant
ongoing love of God -the Spirit.
If we dwell in the holy trinity,
we will no longer experience
such lonliness, but a loving
relationsihp with God.
Father Morrissey would
like to thank the girls from the
Grand Bend 4-H club, who
under the direction of their
leaders, Reta Smits and Nan-
cy Stokkerman, planted all
the flowers outside the
church. Thanks also to Andy

donating all. the flowers.
