Elimville WI elects slate of officers

The annual meeting of the
Elimville Women's Institute
was held recently at the hall.
President Mrs. Ron Fletcher
opened the meeting with the
Opening Ode and Mary
Stewart Collect.
The Bi -Centennial project
in.which Hurondale, Kirkton
and Elimville are working
tugetherwas discussed.
The institute will enter an
exhibit at Exeter and Kirkton
fairs.
The district annual at
Dashwood was discussed. Our
institute is in charge of the
"In Memoriam". Mrs.
Howard Pym and Mrs.
Marion Skinner will look after
it. The delegates will be Mrs.
Ron Fletcher, Miss Ruth
Skinner, Mrs. Ivan Brock and
Mrs. Marion Skinner.
Mrs. Olga Hern is piecing a
quilt and institute members
will quilt it and give it to the
Kirkton-Woodham swimming
pool committee to help raise
money for their project.
Mrs. Melville Buswell
represented the institute at
the Town and County
Homemakers banquet and
meeting. She will report at the
next meeting.

Elimville joined with the
Thames Road people for the
annual Good Friday church
service.
The Elimville and Thames
Road Young People held their
annual Sun Rise Service and
breakfast at Thames Road on
Sunday morning. A good
number of young people
attended.

Katie Christine Pfaff,
daughter of Bruce and Robin
Pfaff was baptised at Our
Lady of Mount Carmel church
on Easter Sunday. Following
the baptism Katie, her
parents and her sister were
guests of honor at the home of
grandparents Mr. and Mrs.
Wilmar Pfaff and boys.
Great-grandparents Mr: and
Mrs. Henry Becker of Zurich,
Missy Sandilands. London
and Joe and .Joanne Dewan
and boys also attended the
celebration.
Well, the bunny hopped up
to the post office and left me
chocolate marshmallow bun-
nies and eggs and an assort-
ment of jelly beans and pure
chocolate eggs. Were they
ever yummy. 'Thank you,
mystery bunny.

church service. A number of
young people presented a
drama "The Real Resurrec-
tion". The first act was a
scene from a home of the
times and the second scene
was in a home five years after
the resurrection with friends
of Jesus.
The Elimville United
Church Women will meet
Wednesdsay evening at the
church.
Balloon found of SIsIpka

Those from this area who
attended the Easter
Ecumenical at Church of God
last Tuesday evening were
Lucille Vincent, Leota
Snyder, Mabel Guenther,
Violet Brown and Annie
Morenz.
A helium balloon sent up by
two children in the St. Marys
area was found recently in
this area.
Several folks from here at-
tended the Good Friday joint
service of Anglicans, Church
of God and United Church
members at the United
Church in Grand Bend. Six of
those attending from here,
shared their musical talent by
singing in the combined choir
of 27, from the three
churches.
Easter visitors
Milton and Eva Sweitzer
were supper guests, Sunday,
at their daughter's, Sandra
and Jim Campbell, and gran -
daughters Kim and Kelly, at
Exeter.
Ferman and Leota Snyder
attended an Easterdinner
family gathering at their
daughter's, Suzanne and Otto
Plein, Christopher and
Melissa at Elmira. Others at-
tending, were Jim and Judy
Snyder, of this are, Keith and
Nancy Snyder, Greenway, Ed
and Gail Snyder, Strathroy
and Esther and Ric Storey,
London.
Barbara and Gerald
Higdon and' Scotty of
Moorefield, were Sunday
guests at her sisters,
Beverley and John Keller,
Sherri-Lvnn and Stephen.
With Don and Elizabeth and
Clark Adams for Sunday sup-
per, were Brock and Dianne
