Mr. and Mrs. Leslie
Greenlee held a birthday din-
ner Wednesday evening for
their daughter Kimberly and
son Steven who celebrate
March birthdays.
Rev. Peter Derrick was in
charge of service Sunday at
one o'clock at St. Patrick's
Church. Mrs. Marguerite
Greenlee, Allan Cunningham
and Rev. Derrick were
readers. Mrs. Tom Kooy was
pianist.
Rev. Derrick spoke to the
children on "What Is the
Church?", closed with prayer
and the children went down to
Sunday School. He took his
text from the ninth chapter of
St. John. Next Sunday's ser-
vice will be at one o'clock.
Mrs. Sheryl Carroll was
hostess Tuesday evening for
the March A.C.W. meeting

Pres. Marguerite Greenlee
was in charge. After an open-
ing hymn, prayers and Scrip-
ture reading, it was decided to
send money to the Easter Seal
campaign.
A vote was taken on the
chicken barbecue, it is plann-
ed for August 22 at the
church. Plans were made to
clean the church. A contest
followed won by Mrs. Rose
Cunningham. The meeting
closed with prayer and the
hostess served refreshments.

Dashwood Men's Club held
the annual children's night
dinner Monday, March 26
with 30 members and 43
children present President
Wayne Ratz conducted a
short business meeting.
Tom Hayter introduced the
guest speaker. Jerry
MacLean spoke on computers
and also displayed some. He
said "Computers are coming
whether we are ready or not'.
The children enjoyed playing
the video games.
Baptism
Margaret Miller and
Jonathon Lorne Miller were
baptized in Zion Lutheran
Church, Sunday, April 1 by
Rev. M. Mellecke. Sponsors
for Jonathan were Terry and
Anne Sweiger.
Personals
Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Rader attended the funeral of
their uncle, Laurent Quen-
neviller in Madison Heights,
Michigan March 27 along with
members of Rose's family.
He was the brother-in-law of
Alphonse Grenier. Her aunt,
Blanche Vallee, Bonnyville,
Alberta also attended the
funeral and visited with Rose
Wednesday.
Tammy and Daniel Rader
were house guests with their
grandparents Mr. and Mrs.
Elgin Rader while their
parents were away.
The funeral of the late
Loretta Keller was held at the
T. Harry Hoffman and Sons
Funeral Home Wednesday,
March 28 with Rev. M.
Mellecke officiating.
Pallbearers were Keith, Karl,
Earl, George, Bev and Ross
Keller, nephews.

bell, attended a
miscellaneous shower Sun-
day, for Greg's fiance, Lori
Habran, of Welland.
The shower was held in the
Folvok hall in Welland with
around 225 friends, relatives
and neighbours attending.
The bride to be received
many lovely gifts.
Visiting Saturday evening
with Doris Sweitzer were her
foster children, Mrs. Loreen
Shaw and Mark and Carrie
and Murray Moore, of
Listowel area. Murray
remembers Mom Sweitzer as
.the best cook ever.
Annie and Angie Zielman,
Gerald and Mary, Ellen
Zielman, Debbie and friend,
Ruth and Jerry Zehr, all at-
tended the figure skating car-
nival at Zurich arena, Sunday
afternoon. Angie was one of
the participants in the
carnival.

The last euchre party for
the season at St. James
Church was held on Tuesday
evening with thirteen tables
in play. Prizes went to: high
scores Marg Carter, Ron
Fahner; lone hands Clara
Smallco, Clarence Carter;
low scores Kay Armstrong
and Jack Gilmour.
Sherri Gibson was hostess
for a baby shower on Satur-
day evening, m honour of
Tanya Park; infant daughter
of 'Murray and Isobel Park,
residents of the village.
