Th Vaudevillians begin
to practice
The performers are strap-
ping on their dancing shoes
and practicing their scales as
rehearsals begin April 2 for
The Theatre Circle's next pro-
duction, The Vaudevillians.
The Vaudevillians is a
musical, heavy on song and
dance, recalling the musical
and comdey routines of the
vaudeville days. For director
Steve Coopman it means a
new challenge after his
critically -acclaimed produc-
tion of The Shortest Distance
Between Two Points which
opened The Theatre Circle's
spring season. That show was
Pentecostal WMS
The March meeting of the
Women's ministries of the
Pentecostal Church was held
at the home of Mrs. Hilda Eiz-
inga with 17 members
present.
The meeting was opened by
singing the hymn All I Need.
Mrs. Connie Donnan accom-
panied on the accor-
dion. Prayer was offered by
Mrs. Ada Triebner, after
which they sang hymns
More Abundantly and Yester-
day, Today, Forever.
The roll call was answered
by each lady with a Scripture
verse containing the word
wisdom. Mary Lou Tait
favoured with a solo entitled
This World is Not My Home

The 65th anniversary of
Hurondale Women's Institute
was held on March 28 at the
Masonic, Hall in Exeter with
dinner with all surrounding
Institutes as guests.
President Fern Dougall
opened the meeting with
greetings to all followed by
the Institute Ode and Mary
Stewart Collect.
Mrs. Dolores Shapton,
South Huron representative
brought congratulations to
Hurondale.
Program convener Elsie
Westcott gave a suitable
poem. The motto was well
given by Mrs. G. Simms.
Curator Marilyn Pym gave
the past history highlights of
the Institute. A comical
reading by Helen Webber and
helpful, ° hints by Connie Ker -

ed a film on the history of Vic-
toria and Grey since 1844.

took the roll call of all In-
stitutes present and secretary
Anne Bray gave minutes of
last meeting. A bus trip is be-
ing planned for June 26.
Margaret Strang reported
on a bi-centennial project in-
cluding Elimville and
Kirkton. Lucky prizes were
won by several.
April 25 will be the annual
meeting.
QUILTING BEES
Ilurondale IV, the Quilting
Bees, have held their fourth
and fifth meetings as well as
a special work meeting at the
home of Gail Holliday.
The girls were shown how
to make the Moon Over the
Mountain applique sample
and then spent the next
meeting working on it.
Gail also showed how to
make samples into useful
items such as pot -holders,
cosmetic bags or wall -
hangings and some members
may do this for their in-
dividual project.
