School plays host to the Huron
vs. Perth boys' basketball all-
star games this Friday. The
junior game tips off at 7;30
p.m. and the seniors will play
after, approximately at 8:45
p.m. Admission is $1. Both
games will be played in the
large easterly high school
gymnasium.
These games should be top
calibre as the two counties
battle for supremacy.
Although they will have prac-
tised together only a few
times prior to Friday's mat-
ches, the individual' talent of
the all-stars promises good
basketball.
With the input of all con-
ference coaches, two players
were chosen from each
Huron -Perth team:Junior all-
stars from South Huron are
Scott Miller and Brian Topp,
both grade 10 students. From
the senior Panthers,
graduating members John
.Mol and Brent Atthill were
selected. Mol was an all-star
last year as well.
An added attraction to the
all-star game is the first an-
nual Huron -Perth foul -
shooting contest. Panther
coach Terry O'Rourke in-
stituted the tournament in
which a representative from
each Huron=Perth team will
shoot 10 foul shots in the
elimination tournament. The
selected foul shooter ritay also
be an all-star.
In the three years since the
all-star game was established
Perth county has maintained
superiority. Lakt year both
senior and junior games were
very close and high paced.
The Huron -Perth Con-
ference and SHDHS welcome
all basketball fans to Exeter
this Friday evening.
