In the Mooretown win the goig to Alan McFalls, Mark Russell, Jason Heywood and Jason Hern. Friday at Century Gardens Arena, Exeter again displayed their team efforts in a close 5-2 loss to Oak Ridges. At the end of the second period Oak Ridges lead 3-0 but 30 seconds into the third period the Broncos roared back on a goat by Jason Hern assisted by Jamie Cornish and David Schwindt.. Schwindt netted the second goal on a pass from Heywood and Hern. Congratulatigns boys, your team spirit and hard work made this a week to remember. Coached by Ron Bogart, the Generals tied the Kitchener Sabres 2-2 and lost close deci- sions to the Kitchener Bruins 4-2 and Sandwich West 3-2. A week earlier, the Generals defeated London Oakridge and Stoneybrook and lost to Wallaceburg. During the six games, Steve Two dart teams sweep All in the Family and Swat were the only teams to gain five point sweeps in Friday's regular action in the Exeter Legion mixed dart league. He returned to Strathroy Sunday to receive his award. In a 10 p.m. game Thurs- day, the Generals used a short handed goal by Scott Lovie on a pass from Bud Richardson with three minutes left to get the tie with the Kitchener Sabres. The other Exeter marker came in the second period from the stick of Bud Richardson on passes from Bill Fisher and Jeff Hannah. The next game was the following morning at.8 a.m. and'the Generals were not as sharp due to a lack of rest. Scott Lovie fired the first Ex- eter goal on passes from Brian Quinn and Scott Bogart. Bud Richardson con- verted a pass from Scott Lovie for the second. In the final game loss to Sandwich West by a 3.2 score, coach Bogart said he team outplayed the opposition, but couldn't score the needed goals. He added, "It was pro- bably the best game we played in the entire tourney." Molting Hawks tie London The Exeter Molting Hawks played to a 6-6 tie with the North London Old Devils in a recent oldtimers hockey game at the South Huron Rec Centre. The Molting Hawks jumped into a 3-2 first period lead on two goals by Jim MacDonald and one successful shot from the stick of Al Rundle. Bob McDonald picked up two assists and Jim Russell helped set up one score. In the second period, Bob MacDonald converted a pass from Al Flynn and Keith Ahrens hit the London net on a pass from Bill Chipchpse. The only third period score for the Molting Hawks was notched by Bob McDonald on a three-way passing combina- tion with Jim Russell and Jim MacDonald.
