Kendra was second in the under 16 singles in Western Ontario, an area that stret- ches from Windsor to Hamilton, including many big cities, Her victor is ranked in the top 10 in Ontario but Ken- dra took her to three games. Coach Pat Rowe stuck with her starting lineup to gain these victories. Tournament play on the weekend prepared the juniors with the needed experience for league play. Winning three of their seven matches, Rowe felt her players became overconfi- dent after their three initial wins. The tournament hosted many Southwestern Ontario towns.
