local residents for helping us
while we were stranded In Ex-
eter during the recent
snowstorm.
Christmas Eve day we
were on our way from Ottawa
to Hensall to spend the
holidays with some of our
family The drive from Strat-
ford to Exeter was "harrow-
ing" to say the least! We just
couldn't make the last few
miles to Hensall and were
directed to the Legion.
Once there we were provid-
ed with hot coffee and food.
Reg Maclionald did - a
wonderful job in helping
everyone to settle in and after
awhile he asked if we'd like to
spend the night with Ralph
Wareham and his family.
They had called the Legion
and volunteered to accom-
modate some stranded
travellers.
We jumped at the chance

and spent a very lovely
Christmas Eve'and morning
with Ralph, Jo -Anne and their
four nice children. They all
did so much to make us feel
welcome and got us on our
way Christmas morning.
We arrived in Hensall
where we spent the re-
mainder of our holidays, so
grateful to be there and very
appreciative of the kindness
of your townspeople.
Thank -you to everyone.
