MT. CARMEL CONCERT
The Mount Carmel
Christmas concert was held
Deceniuer 14 at 7:30 p.m. The
grades one, two a.id three
children put on the play
"Christmas in a Toy Story."
Kindergarten children per-
formed several songs and
dances.
Some four and five graders
performed on recorders,
"Away in a Manger" and
"Jolly old St. Nick." The new-
ly formed choir sang a selec-
tion of lovely Christmas
carols.
The combined grades of
three, four, six and seven,
performed a play, "Three
wee kings." This musical il-
lustrates how the birth of
Jesus fulfilled all the pro-
phecies in the Bible. Jesus
Christ is the Lamb of God, the
bright morning star, the Good
Shepherd, the Lion of Judah
and the King of Kings.
All the childrens' prepara-
tion shone through, and the
parents and all those who at-
tended were impressed and
deeply touched.
In the recent Huron -Perth
volleyball tournament the
Mount Carmel boys finished
second and the girls finished
third. A Christmas bake sale
was put on by the school and
they sold 175 cakes for ARC
Industries of Dashwood.
Not only have some bud-
ding artists decorated the
school windows, but some
students painted the
Dashwood post office win-
dows as well, sharing their
talents with the community.
The Exeter High School
theatre arts class visited
Mount Carmel on Friday.
They put on a play titled, "Go
jump in the lake", to the
delight of all the students.
