Katimavik..
My name is Mary Jo
Swidley, and I am 20 years
old. 1 live in Riven, just 20
miles southwest of Edmon-
ton, Alberta.
The main reasons for enter-
ing Katimavik is that it
enables me to travel Canada,
meet people, and challenge
self-discipline.
During the past two
months, I have been working
at the South Huron Rec Cen-
tre. The Rec people are
great! Congratulations, Jo
Ann!
Billeting for two weeks at
the Ryan's Swine Farm, was
certainly unique and
challenging. There were
chickens too, I must say, "the
ham and eggs were good!"
Thanks to the Ryan's and the
pigs. My stay was short, but
fun.
I have become quite ac-
customed with Exeter and
various areas and there are
obvious contrasts between
Ontario and Alberta. The peo-
ple, history and culture here
have been a learning and very
rewarding experience to
remember.
I must say for myself that
Katimavik is great and is a
challenging lifestyle. I have
met super people, expecially
the 11 who I live with. I want
to let the group know how
much I really appreciate their
friendship and support.
Thanks. you guys are the
best!
