Hensall readers
want restraint
To the Editor:
$450,000 is too much money
to spend on a town hall for
Hensall.
Whether the money comes
from municipal taxes or
grants from federal or provin-
cial taxes, we, the tax payers,
are the ones who have to pay
in the long run.
Our elected representatives
should practice restraint in
th%se poor economic times.
Let's lower taxes not raise
them.

The Joy of Christmas was
the sermon topic at the United
Church on Sunday morning
when Mr. McDonald spoke
from Luke 2:10, "Fear not,
for behold I bring you good
tidings of great joy which
shall be to all people."
He spoke of how joy comes
to us because God cares and
that God came in Christ as
our Saviour. He stressed to
the congregation that they
must draw near to Christ, not
the Christ in the cradle but the
Christ the child became, the
crucified, resurrected Christ.
