delegates to the O.F.A. an-
nual convention held in
Toronto from last Monday to
Wednesday with theme being,
"Future Directions".
Congratulations to the
lucky winner of $1,000.00 at
the Hensall Christmas Bingo
last Thursday Sandra Dickert
of Zurich.
Mrs. Luciene Denomme of
London spent from Thursday
to Sunday with her mother,
Mrs. Juliette Denomme and
both attended the forty hours
devotions.
Open public skating hours
at the arena for the children
so far are on Saturday from
2:15 to 3:45 p.m. and on Sun-
days from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
providing there are no hockey
games.

Deichert who recently
celebrated his 94th birthday.
On Saturday a family pre -
Christmas dinner was held at
the home of Mrs. Theresa
Hartman for all her children,
who came from Montreal,
Windsor, London, Lucan, Mt.
Carmel and the surrounding
area. Then on Sunday
Theresa was honoured to at-
tend the baptismal of her
great grandson, little Bran-
don Michael Overholt, son of
Mike and Charlene Overholt
(nee Hartman) at Mt. Carmel
Church, followed by dinner at
the Rec Centre in Exeter.
Godparents were Gary and
Theresa Egan of Utica,
Michigan.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Klopp were guests of the Tex-
aco of Canada Co. at the Holi-
day Inn City Centre in London
on December 1 where
Howard (Mac) was presented
with a 45 -year long service
award, and a beautiful crystal
decanter for a job well done
through the years. His wife
Jean received a dozen red
roses.
The Golden Agers are
reminded of their Christmas
meeting tonight, Wednesday,
Dec. 7 with supper at Tony's
Town and Country Lanes and
Restaurant at 6:00 in the
evening. Come out and have
a good time.
The senior citizens are also
planning their last outing for
awhile with a day trip to
Hamilton Place on Wednes-
day, Dec. 14 going to see the
Geritol Follies show. A few
seats are still available,

On Sunday, Nov. 27 Helen
Overholt and children Patrick
and Colleen attended the
church service and baptismal
of niece, Rene Janet -Lynn,
daughter of Bruce and Janet
Rock, in Monkton. Also atten-
ding was grandmother, Mrs.
Leila Becker of Zurich who
returned home with Helen
after spending three weeks in
Monkton.
Leila is presently spending
a couple of weeks with her
daughter Elva and son-in-law
Ralph and grandson Mark in
Wingham.
On Wednesday, Dec. 7 at
9:30 a.m. in Marling Break at
the United Church. All ladies
are invited. Guest, Thea
Wisch will show some
Christmas arrangements and
decorations followed by Bible
study and snack. Babysitting
is available.
Andrew and Alida Rau at-
tended the Baptismal of their
granddaughter little. Ashley
Renee, daughter of Terry and
Helen Rau on Sunday in
Chatham with godparents be-
ing, Dick Rau and Fran
Divine.
Welcome back to Brad and
Janice Oke who have return-
ed home from Saudi Arabia
where they lived for the past
three years. Brad is the son of
Don and Betty Oke, Zurich,
and Janice is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hayter,
Dashwood. The couple will be
taking up residence in London
after the holidays.

Wednesday and Thursday
with her parents, Curtis and
Mary Gingerich and enjoyed
going to the Women's
Christmas Fantasy while in

Movies were shown on Mon-
day evening followed by
refreshments. Programs
were at a minimum this
week. Everyone seems quite
content to rest after the com-
motion of the family
Christmas dinner.

Johnston to the Home. He is
a former Bayfield resident.
Mrs. Florence Gould is still
a patient in South Huron
Hospital, Exeter.

out during the week are Mrs.

Gingerich.
We are still in the market
for nylons and pantyhose, also
small pine cones for our work
in the hobby shop.

The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Mr.
Merlin Bender of the Conser-
vative Mennonite Church.
Films were shown on Sun-
day evening due to the full
schedule of programs for the
coming week. Movies will be
cancelled until after the holi-
