The high school's Outers Club journeyed to the Bruce Trail for two full days of hiking last week. The weekend excursion was led by SH science teacher Jim Marshall and former SH teacher Pete Zankowski. The group hiked 15 to 20 miles on the beautiful Bruce Trail around Cyprus Lake Park. Marshall was pleased with the weather and the group of outers. As well as the enjoyable ex- perience and scenery the Outers practised their pack- ing, hiking, climbing and other outdoor camping skills. The trail was quite rough and with the heavy packs Mar- shall felt that some students were shocked to find that they were out of shape. Along with shorter excur- sions the Outers hope to ex- periment with winter camp- ing in Muskoka perhaps in February. Parents night tonight Tonight is Parents' Night at South Huron District High School. Parents are invited to see the school and talk with the teachers. The Hallowe'en dance was a great success with most students dressed in original costumes. Thousands of Hallowe'en kisses were delivered throughout the school.
