"Mark your calendar today
for Thursday November 17.
This is going to be a special
day for anyone interested in
community development in
Huron County."
These remarks were made
by Valerie Bolton as she talk-
ed about the upcoming Com-
munity Information Day to be
held at the Huronview
Auditorium. The day is being
sponsored by the Huron Coun-
ty Community Services Coun-
cil, a network of community
groups and social service
agencies in Huron.
What will be happening at
this Information Day? There
will be films, workshops,
keynote speakers, a luncheon
and displays by community
agencies and groups that are
members of the council.
The council has held infor-
mation days in the past and
they have been a great way
for community workers to
meet one another and get a
sense of what services are be-
ing offered in Huron county.
This year the council is ap-
pealing to the public to come
out and share in the activities
of the day.

Detail plans
for craft event
The second general
meeting of the Exeter Kinette
Club was held October 25, at
the home of Sylvia Watson.
The minutes of the last
meeting were adopted as
printed in the club bulletin.
Correspondence received by
secretary Jacqui Hibbert, in-
cluding a very nice letter of
thanks from Susan Mousseau,
who was the recipient of the
Exeter Kinette Award for stu-
dying Family Studies and
Social Sciences.
Vice-president Wanda
Reynolds opened a lengthy
discussion concerning the
final details of the November
5 craft show to be held at the
Exeter Legion hall. Many
.iew craft exhibits are being
added to this year's show,
creating a much larger varie-
ty of crafts for the shopping
customer to choose from.
Several new ideas of in-
terest to the general public
were suggested and adopted,
resulting in the addition of
many extra surprises which
the club hopes will be well
received.
President Sally Snedden
suggested that the members
could bring a more varied line
of baking to be sold at the tea
corner during the craft sale.
The enthusiastic response
suggests some pleasant addi-
tions to the tea corner.
