Members and friends were
greeted by Don Ankers. The
lessons appointed for the day
were read by Don Ankers and
Marion Hodgins.
The children were introduc-
ed to a new song, "Come
along with Jesus" prior to
their departure for Sunday
School classes. Rev. Pocock
spoke briefly to them on the
need to walk along daily with
Jesus as their guide and
friend.
The sermon was based on
the Gospel - Luke 16:1-13. The
parable of the shrewd
manager - the 'rich man'
represents God and the
'steward' anyone who is
working for God, and that
means us, for we are all work-

Just as the steward was
summoned before his master,
we too shall be summoned
before our Master. And we
shall be asked to give an ac-
count of how we have used His
resources. God has given
each of us many gifts and re-
quires that they be used in the
building up of the body of
Christ - the Church.
Jesus tells us that we can-
not serve two masters. It is
our choice to either serve God
or mammon (things of the
world. ) Which master do you
serve?
