IN MEMORIAM—
TAYLOR — In loving memory of
a dear son, brother and uncle
Orland Ross (Dick) Taylor who
passed away one year ago,
September 23, 1982 in a car
accident.
The voice we loved so well is
stilled
The place made vacant in our
lives can never more be filled.
The sudden way he had to die,
We shall always remember and
wonder why.
Not till the Loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.
Lovingly remembered by
Mother, brothers Ken, Don,
Douglas and their families. 38'
TRiEBNER — In loving memory
of a dear wife and mother, Ruby
Marie Triebner, who passed away
September 16, 1981.
We watched you suffer,
We watched you die,
When the time came we suffered
too,
For you never deserved what you
went through.
God took your hand and we had to
part,
He eased your pain and broke our
hearts,
Your resting place we oft^n visit,
And place your flowers with care,
But no one knows the heartache,
When we walk away and leave
you there.
Lovingly remembered and sad-
ly missed by husband Bill and son
Ted. 38x
PiCKERiNG — In loving
memory of my beloved husband
John (Jack) Elmer who passed
away one year ago, September 22,
1982.
The depth of sorrow I cannot tell
Of the loss of one 1 loved so well,
The dearest husband this world
could hold.
With his cheery smile and his
heart of gold:
To those who knew him all will
know,
How much 1 lost one year ago.
His precious memories I shall
treasure forever
Of those happy days when we
were together.
If teardrops could build a
stairway
And memories were a lane.
I'd walk all the way to Heaven.
Jack
And bring you home again.
Deep in my heart your memory is

PICKERING — In loving
memory of a dear father, John
(Jack) Elmer who passed away
one year ago September 22, 1982.
We will always remember the
way he looked,
And the way he spoke and smiled.
The little things he said and did
Are with us all the while.
He meant so very much to us,
That nothing we can say,
Can tell the sadness in our hearts
As we think of him each day.
It doesn't matter the day or year.
There's always a heartache,
always a tear.
Memories don't fade, they just
grow deep,
For the one we loved but could not
keep.
Lite goes on, we know that's true,
But it's not the same, Dad,
without you.
Sadly missed by son Terry,
daughter-in-law Glenda. 38'

INTRODUCTION -- Ausable-Bayfield Conservation
Authority chairman Jack Tinney meets Katimaviker
Mary -Jo Swidley at an informal get-together- for the
12 -member group which has just arrived in Exeter.
Separate board to
buy some services
The Huron -Perth Separate
School Board will purchase
education services for
Catholk trainable mentally
retarded students from both
the Huron and Perth boards
of education.
The agreement between the
three boards goes into effect
January 1, 1985 the separate
school board agreed at its
September 12 meeting.
"Why are we not educating
these students ourselves`'"
asked Goderich area trustee
Michael Moriarty. -
Director of education
William Eckert said the
public boards of education
have been educating these
students for a long time. Bill
82, the special education
amendment to The Education
Act, now permits separate
school boards to educate its
own trainable mentally
retatded students, added
Eckert.
Also, superintendent of
education John McCauley
pointed out that there are ap-
proximately 11 such stridents
spread over the two counties.
"There are about two
students in any geographical
area," said the
superintendent.
Both the director and Mr.
McCauley said it would be ex-
pensive for the board to
educate 'hese students
because facilities would have
to be created, transportation
provided along with teaching
staff.
The trainable mentally
retarded students previously
had been considered secon-
dary school students for grant
purposes thereby leaving
their education out of the
hands of the Huron -Perth
separate school board which
only educates elementary
school children.
Moriarty said he would still
like to see the board provide
the education for these
students.
"Administration feels the
same way, if it was possible,"
said Eckert.
It was pointed out that the
students receive lessons in the
Catholic faith in the public
trainable mentally retarded
schools.
