ROBERT LAING C°uinut tv Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Norris who celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Friday evening in Kirkton Community Cen- tre. Hugh and Annie (Mac- Dougall) were married September 11, 1943 and have a family of four, John, Harry, Mary and Joyce. Ivan Norris introduced the family, as well as Hugh and Annie's brothers and sisters,. and extended the best wishes of the large crowd in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Garvey, Yorkshire, England, have spent the last two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Dow. Hazel' Sadler. Sault Ste. Marie and Helen Currie, Dor- chester, sang a duet, I Have Left All to Follow My Saviour at the church service Sunday morning. Rev. K. Might spoke on the theme, How much of my life am I willing to give for my Saviour? Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laing and Tom visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Deichert, Clinton. Clandeboye Mare Scott, Betty Coughlin and Jean llodgins represented ('landeboye Women's Institute at the Mid- dlesex Count) W. 1 Public Relations Exhibit, at Western Fair, Wednesday. Riverview and Cloverdale Institute also helped that day. Velma Hardy returned home Tuesday from a visit with her daughter, Linda in Calgary. David accompanied his grandmother to Calgary in time to start Grade 1, after spending the summer with his grandparents. Hazel and Jim Cunningham have returned from a very en- joyable holiday to the East Coast and Newfoundland with the McNaughton Tours of Ilderton. Celebrate Thanksgiving By MRS. HEBER DAVIS Saintsbury Due to 'Thanksgiving ser- vice at Sl. Thomas Church Granton, service at St. Patrick's was cancelled, several members from Sl. Patrick attended the service at St. Thomas. Rev. Peter Derick was in charge. The choir provided special music. A cup of coffee and a social hour followed. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Davis observed their 45th wedding anniversary Sunday with their family, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Love and girls and Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Davis. Mrs. Wayne Carroll return- ed home following surgery at University Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Davis, Mrs. Greta Gibson, Mrs. Lela Abbott, :Mrs. Mabel Needham Lucan and Mrs. Alma Godbolt Exeter.
