Bruce and Louise Church of
Arkansas arrived in town on
Friday at the home of his
sister, Ruth Church, especial-
ly for the Bean Festival and
enjoyed it very much. They
returned home on Tuesday
with the quilt she won.
Mrs. Juliette Denomme
returned home from Montreal
with son-in-law Michael Hart-
man who also spent a few
days visiting with her and his
mother, Mrs. Theresa Hart-
man and relatives in the area.

the arrival of their first baby,
Bradley Douglas. A grandson
for Mr. and Mrs. Carl Oesch
RR 2 Zurich.

Gelinas Sr. and Nancy
Devereaux of Dublin all made
a three day retreat in Oxley
from last Tuesday to
Thursday.
Marinus and Joanne Ver-
munt RR 2 Zurich returned
home on Friday after a love-
ly three week vacation in
Holland, Germany and
Belgium visiting with
relatives. Their daughter and
son-in-law Joanne and Don
Boyes were also there for two
of the three weeks.

Gingerich, Reuben and Fan-
ny Gingerich, Ailsa Craig and
Miss Verda Bender, London
attended the wedding of their
nephew Greg Bender in St.
Catharines on the weekend.
Best wishes for a speedy
recovery are extended to nine
year old Craig Gingerich, son
of Jim and Ruth, who is a pa-
tient in University Hospital,
London after a motorcycle ac-
cident last week.

Rites of Passage institute
held at Brescia College in
London for three days last
week. This deals with the
restored rites of receiving
converts into full communion
with the Catholic Church.

council member attended the
Association of Municipalities
of Ontario annual conference
in Toronto from August 21 to
24.
Gordie, Cecilia and Kelly -
Lynn Smith, spent the
weekend with his sister and
family, Marg and Jim Ken-
dall in St. George.
Weekend visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Geoffrey
were their children and
families from St. Catharines,
Toronto, Detroit and
Tillsonburg.
