held in the United Church
basement on July 13 for
Heather Billyea, who will
become the bride of Donald
Wm. Benner of St. Marys on
Sat. Aug. 6. The wedding will
be in the Granibn United
Church with the Rev. Bruce
Pierce performing the
ceremony assisted by the
Rev. Elwood Morden of
Hamilton, former minister of
Granton United Church.
Verna Mills welcomed the
many friends and relatives
• who had gathered together to
honor Heather and conducted
a game.
Assisting the bride elect to
open her many gifts were her
bridesmaid of honour. Susan
Marriot, attendants Gail
Frifield. Joan Thomson, Max-
ine Weir, Cheryl Wright.
Diane Cook and her flower
girl Christa Weir.
When all her gifts were un-
wrapped Heather thanked
everyone for giving her such
a nice shower and for the
many beautiful gifts.

way euchre club enjoyed a

day lunch guests with Mrs.
Mary Davis.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob
MacGillivray and Courtney
are holidaying at the home of
Heather's parents Mr. and
Mrs. Hugh Davis.
Mrs. Bob Tindall and Mrs.
Mary Davis visited with Mr.
and Mrs. Ron Cunningham
and April at Mar, Thursday.
Mrs. Davis remained fo: a
few days and Robert Tindall
who spent the past two weeks
returned home with his
mother.
Hey. Peter Derick was in
charge of service at St.
Patrick':- Sunday morning.
Bayfield on Monday July 11.
Everyone contributed to the
lunch and later enjoyed a
game of progressive euchre
outside on the lawn.
Prize winners were follow-
ing members: ladies high
score, Jean Donelly; lone
hands, Mary Rhame; low
score, Charlotte Kerr; men's
high score, Bill Hodgins; lone
hands, Eileen Summers play-
ing a man's hand; low score,
Alex Chatreau.
Following supper, everyone
agreed that they had had a
lovely time and thanked
Carmen for his kind
hospitality.
At St. Thomas Anglican
Church the Rev. Peter Der-
rick was in charge of the Mor-
ning Prayer service. The two
lessons were read by the Rec-
tor and Kenny Beatson. The
Rev. Derrick pr 'ache(' his
sermon from Colossians
1:21-29; this was on the
fullness of life in Christ. The
three kinds of death are: the
physical form, the moral
death and spiritual death. The
Christ in ourselves is the Hope
of Glory, said the speaker.
