We all know that a
Doctor's building is
important to the recruit-
ment;: and retention of
Ontario.
We now - have' vo rrcW'Nthr.
This step was under-
taken to -provide better
primary and emergency
care, and was warmly
received by our board.
Apparently legislation
now needs to be passed
to allow Nurse
Practitioners in hospitals
toguy apply their skills.
This unfortunately
takes considerable time.
In the interim, we are
fortunate to have
retained Let- Morri.ion
who is working in r
number of areas. We are
investigating a number
of alternatives to allow
her to practise fully.
Our partnership with
the other seven hospitals
in Huron -Perth received

Sinclair, who chairs the

As you may remember
from the newspapers a
few months ago, our
Provincial government
was most eager to fund
and establish Nurse
Practitioners, especially
ktkrural settin s such
physicians tobolster the
ranks of Drs. Steciuk,
Steele,: Jadd and Hodder.
Dr. Krista Fatum is now
working with Dr. Jadd
and Dr. Theresa
Reynolds will be starting
in January with Dr.
Steele.
Part of our partnership
involves the sharing of
resources and these
physicians were recruit-
ed through a private'
company that was
secured by Clinton Public
Hospital and us. Dr.
Nancy Foley ,will also be
joining our ER staff in
the summer, and will
provide some much
appreciated Iocum work
to our four local physi-
cians. Welcome to all,
and we sincerely hope
you make our communi-
ty the place you perma-
nently call home.
