Parents rush to go out and buy gifts in December. They don't know what to buy for people. It's hard to find a hiding place for the gifts. All of a sudden it hits par- ents, wow, it's already December. They rush into stores and wait in line for hours. Or they just can't find what they are looking for because it's sold out. In my opinion parents should not buy gifts in December. Why not buy gifts in October or earlier. Then Christmas would not be such a hectic time. I would like to say something to all parents. Christmas is supposed to be a happy time of the year, not the most hectic month. We are celebrat- ing Jesus' birth. Somehow we have turned Christmas into a time when everyone is stressed out. If we do our shopping earlier and remember why we are celebrating, then Christmas would turn out to be how it is supposed to be - a happy time of the year. I will try to help more around the house. I will try to set a better example for my siblings, and I will be more loving to the members in our family. Thank you. Love Ryan What I Liked Best About Christmas By Nathan Maribrecht, Grade 6 St Patricl!s School What I liked about this Christmas was. I got the best present ever. When I got up that morning I went down- stairs and put my gifts at the front of the tree and went back upstairs and woke up my parents and asked them if we could open the gifts. They said in a few minutes, as always. I went back downstairs and waited. Finally they came. I got to open the first one. I looked at it and said to myself, it's the best present ever. After all the gifts were opened, I played with them. I went up to my bed and thanked Santa. My parents made breakfast. I came down and ate breakfast and thought about all my gifts. After breakfast I played until lunch. I had lunch and I thought about dinner. because we were having all my aunts and uncles over. After lunch we had to get ready for dinner. We set the table and we finished just in time. Soon everybody was here and we had dinner. After dinner I showed everybody my toys. I played for awhile and then went to bed.
