This is because of all of the sus- pense on Christmas Eve, the excitement on Christmas morning, and the joy of everyone play- ing with their toys and other gifts. I also love the twinkle of the Christmas tree, and the stockings hung with care. But Christmas isn't just about getting gifts and decorat- ing Christmas trees. What Christmas is really about is preparing for Christ's birth, and sharing his story. There are many ways to prepare for Christ's coming, such as giving thoughtful gifts, sharing love, ands spend- ing time with your family and friends. This is why Christmas is my favourite holiday. ******** * Ditseetaia * LAKESIDE* * DRESS 349-2820* * CODE * SAT., DEC. 25 * * Nat" &oatmeal * * NEW YEARS EVE *. KELEASES-- .# The Night to Remember By Nicholas Hartman, Gr. 7 St Boniface School It was the night before Christmas And there was nothing around, Except for the mice, That made very little sound. Everyone was sleeping, All through the night, Everything was dark. But the stars that were bright. That night was cold, I almost froze, But this cold night, Was the one that God chose. It was a long time ago, When the Savior was born, Out with the cows, That were eating mime— corn. omecorn. That was the special night, I wish to remember, On the twenty-fifth day, In the month of December. Christmas By Brent Godkin, Grade 2 Usborne Central School It was a week until Christmas at the Brown house. Jace was a little disaster. He has been calling people names, playing tricks on people and leaving muddy tracks in the house. There were mice climb- ing in the cupboards and chewing on wires. The family was frightened. The cat climbed up the Christmas tree and it fell down. The cat chased the mice and they knocked a trophy off the shelf. Then it broke but Jace glued it back before his mom found out. Then he put the Christmas tree back up and he bought new orna- ments. Jace took the mice and the cat to the barn. Santa came that night and brought cheese and a rubber mouse. Jace got Tyke Rebound.
