How I Plan to
Celebrate the Last
Christmas of the
Ctury
By Sasha Strong, Gr. 6
Biddulph Central School
I plan to celebrate the
last Christmas of the cen-
' , = tury with pride, knowing
that I've done my best in
the past ten years. I will
celebrate it in my house
with my family and loved
ones around me. We will
open the gifts under our
tall, green Christmas tree.
In the evening we will
have the traditional
Christmas "dinner with all
the dressings. After din-
ner is the chatting and
coffee, as the children
run around, hyper from
all the desserts.
Throughout. all this we
will be thinking of all the
relatives who could not
be there or who have
passed away. That is
what I will•.be doing on
the last Christmas of the
century.

Is Santa Real?
By Curtis Pfau', Gr. 8
Mt. Carmel School
Is Santa real?
Some children would say
so,
But some adults would.
say no.
But who's to define 'who
or what Santa is?
Santa could be the person
who shakes like a bowl
full of jelly,
Or the person that deliv-
ers toys to Nelly,
On Christmas why are
people nice,
When normally they're
not?
Why aren't children
naughty,
When before they fought?
Is Santa real or is he not?
He is real to SOLO' and
others not,
But those who wy nk not,
Who is responsible for the
Christmas Spirit?
We both know why Santa
is real,
And why he is not.
Christmas Poem

The snow is falling down
at night
With children waiting,
what a sight.
Waiting, waiting for
Santa Claus
And the sound of rein-
deers' paws
Down the chimney soot
on snow
Oops, off the bed I must
go!

The Boy Who Loved
Christmas
By Chris VanKasteren
St, Patrick's Scftool
Once upon -a time there
was a boy named' Alfred.
He liked, .toys, video
games. Nintendo,
wrestling and magazines.
He loved Christmas with
all the trees, candy canes,
and presents. He liked
Christmas so much he
wished it would be every
day. The next morning he
woke up and it was
Christmas. He ran down
the stairs and opened his
presents. He got toys,
candy, money and
clothes. He played with
his gifts all day until
10:30, then he went to
bed. The next morning
Alfred ran down the stairs
and saw presents. •
He opened all his pre-
sents and he got the same
thing as yesterday. Alfred
realized this would hap-
pen for the rest of his life.
Alfred wished and wished
that Christmas would be
once a year but it was
every day. One week
after, Alfred wanted to
change Christmas so he
played tricks on his par-
ents. Alfred's parents
were sad Christmas was
ruined all because of
Alfred. Alfred felt bad.
Alfred found out the
meaning of Christmas is
to be with your family,
not to get presents. Then
Alfred decided to have a
good Christmas.
The next morning
Alfred was on his best.
behaviour, no goofy ges-
tures. His father was.
wondering why he wasn't
behaving badly like he
usually did but he didn't
say anything. The next
morning Alfred went
down the stairs and didn't
see any presents. Alfred
was glad that it wasn't
Christmas.
