Santa Gets Lost
BY
Emily Zielmsn and
Ashley McCarthy
Grade 5, Stephen Central
Public School
This story takes place
seven weeks before
Christmas. Santa and his
elves were wrapping the
presents for the kids. All
of a sudden they ran out
of wrapping paper, so
Santa had to walk the 15
miles to Wal -mart.
Once Santa got to Wal -
mart, he went to the
Christmas section to look
for wrapping paper.
There were only 35 rolls
left, so be bought them
all.
After he walked 3 miles
a storm came up, and
instead of going north he
went east:
The elves waited but
Santa never came.
The elves thought that
Santa had gotten blown
off course, so instead of
buying the wrapping
paper, they made it.
Five days passed but
Santa never came. The
elves started to load -up
Santa's -bled and got the
reindeer ready. That took
them a whole day.
That meant that there
was only one .day left. The
elves sat around the
workshop hoping Santa
would come, but he didn't.
come.
Night finally came. The
elves had to deliver the
presents.
The elves thought that
after 10 hours: , , : jolt yvas
easy, so` Rey t s ed the
job in no time.
Spring finally came. The
sky cleared up and Santa
returned. The elves were
happy, so was Santa.

A Cls How Are You
Invention
By Marsha Taylor, Gr. 3
Huron Centennial School
On Christmas day Santa
was late going to the chil-
dren's homes. So Santa
made a robot and it was
an elf. It came with a
remote control. So it
made the toys for Santa.
The sound that it made
was ring, ring, buzz,
buzz, dong, dong, jingling,
jingling. All Santa had to
do was push the buttons
on the remote control.
Santa put this robot on
t.v.
"What do you want for
Christmas? Let me tell
you about something
amazing! I have this robot
that can do anything for
you."
Santa was getting his
letters fast. Everybody
wanted a robot. So Santa
'and his robot were busy.
They were running out of
time but they made it. It
was a fun Christmas.

New. Year
It is time to share
With all my care
It is very bright
By the night
From a candle light
The day is out
The lights are out
The light is gone
It is almost dawn
It's Christmas morn
Jesus is born
I will open my presents
Now I'feel so pleasant
I'm so happy, happy,
happy
Thanks: Mom, Dad,
Jesus, Santa and...me!

Planning to
Celebrate the Last
Christmas of the
Century?
By Lindsey Ferguson, Gr.
6
Biddulph Central School
I am planning to cele-
brate this last Christmas
of the century by having
dinner and also celebrat-
ing with friends and fami-
ly. I will be helping the
homeless with getting
bed, water and clothes. I
will also be playing in the
snow with my friends,
and finally the four most
exciting things to do on
Christmas/Christmas holi-
days, in order, are: get
presents; give presents;
go shopping; and snow-
mobiling. The very best of
all at Christmas is every-
one of us is happy and
you give and get lots of
smiles!
Christmas Day
By Melanie McCann, Gr.

Mt. Carmel School
On Christmas Day, kids
crave for a toy,
But really it's all about
one holy boy,
For this one boy was born
in a stable,
Where it was night with a
light on a table.
This day also belongs to
Mr. Claus,
But careful you don't
wreck this day because,
it too is Jesus' day,
And will never go away.
On this day we pray a
grateful prayer,
And I know this for Jesus,
we will share.
My Christmas
By Brittany Anderson,
Gr. 6
St. Patrick's School
It is time for Christmas
and everyone is getting in
the spirit. And almost
everyone has a family tra-
dition. Well, as for my
family, we pick names out
of a hat and we would
have to buy for that per-
Son. Also what my family
does is we go get a
Christmas tree and try to
find the best one. What I
like about Christmas is
gift -giving and family
gathering.
The Worst
Christmas Ever
By *ran Rowdilrs, Gr. 4
Hensel Public School
Far away over the hills
there's the North Pole. It
was the night before
Christmas and Santa was
packing his sleigh. Then
his reindeer got sick. So
Santa thought and he said
we should use plan B,
that's the boosters.
So it was time to go but
the boosters had no gas
so the elves took an hour
to mix the gas. They put
gas in the tank, then
Santa was off. He tried to
do a trick. The trick is to
try to throw the bag of
toys in the chimney but
he missed them all then.
So he was going back and
got lost. It took three days
to get back because it was
foggy out. In three days
he came back and told
Mrs. Claus we should get
back reindeer. Then Mrs.
Claus laughed.
At Christmas Time
By Danielle Culbert, Gr.
8
Zurich Public School
Christmas is a time for
happiness,
A time for giving, love and
sharing.
Some people aren't as
fortunate,
To see Christmas as I do.
They see it as a time for
sadness,
A time for being cold and
lonely,
With no one to love or
share,
Their feelings and
thoughts about life.
I think they deserve a
chance,
To see Christmas as I do.
For I am no better or no
worse,
Than they are at
Christmas time.
They deserve to love and
be loved,
To have the chance at
feeling that joy.
Everyone deserves to feel
that feeling that is only
felt at Christmas time.

Before Christmas day
My Mom asked me
She said, "Hey,
Do you want me to put up
the Christmas tree?"
Before Christmas day
I hada dream that
I was on Santa's sleigh
And he wore a Christmas
hat.
Before Christmas day
I went to school
I said "Hi" to Mr. Laye
And it was really cool
It is now Christmas day
It's finally here
So listen to me
Listen with your ear.
Have a merry Christmas!
