The Christmas
Poem
By Nick Ducharme, Gr. 7
St. Boniface School
All you could see was the,
sparkling snow,
Everyone was thinking of
Mr. Ho! Ho! Ho!
All the towns were lit up
with lights,
That's all you could see
on those faithful nights.
The carolers outside were
singing so loud,
It sounded like a roaring
crowd.
We put out our cookies
and milk,
For the big man in red
silk.
It was off to bed to get
some rest,
As all the kids were wish-
ing for the best.
In the morning all you
could see were rows,
Of big presents tied with
colourful bows.
All the kids ran down the
stairs,
After they said their
morning prayers.
I found a present that was
very big,
And I started to dance a
little jig,
When the day was done
we were all glad,
But still people are very
sad.

bright.
You will see them in the
night.
They could be on the
Christmas tree
Or they could be sitting
free.
Light the candles one by
one,
Blow them out, when
they're all done.
Open your presents the
morn,
And remember when
Jesus was born.
Lisa's Christmas
By Steven, Gr. 4
Precious Blood School
One year Lisa Geoffrey
was walking aroundher
house. Her husband
David Geoffrey, was
watching hockey on the
portable t.v. Their five-
year old daughter sat on
the couch trying to read
her favourite book "Snow
White." Her name was
Stacy Geoffrey.
"Mommy, Mommy, can .t
have a Barbie doll for
Christmas?"
"How much is it?" said
her mom.
"It's $5.99 Mommy,"
she said.
"Oh my gosh, if it was a
nickel I might have said
yes."
"Mommy, .is Santa com-
ing tomorrow?"
"No, he's too fat."
The next morning Stacy
ran downstairs to find
500 things. There were
Barbies and everything
else. "Thanks mom and
dad, Hove you."
you be filled with the true spirit of
Christmas—its peace, its joy,
its love—and may the significance
of that first holy Christmas be
ever present in your heart.
We're sincerely grateful for your
loyal patronage.

St Petrifies School
On Christmas, my Dad
tickles me to wake me up.
When my Dad has woken
everybody, we,get to go
downstairs and open a
present. After we've all
opened a present, we go
outside and make a snow -
fort until my Grandma
and Grampa get there.
My Grandma and my
Mom hide all the pre-
sents. We get to go Inside
and, find all of them. We
collect all of the presents
and we open them one by
one.
Then we go to my Aunty
Cathy's house and all of
my relatives and cousins
bring one present for
each person. It is fun. We
each get about 17 gifts.
Then we go home.
