EXETER — If you're
going to lose, it better be
against a good team.
And a good team is
exactly what the Exeter
Jr. D Hawks found them-
selves up against in a 4-2

Thamesford Trojans.
Thamesford got on the
board first by scoring 'the
only goal of the first peri-
od, a powerplay marker
with Ben McCann in the
penalty box at 9:48.
The Trojans built to
their lead 5:04 into the
second period. Exeter
halved the lead on a goal
by Jon Miller from Jason
Grenier with 7:11 left in
the period.
The Trojans restored
their two goal lead with
2:23 left in the second.
Jeremy Geoffrey brought
the Hawks to within a goal
of Thamesford by scoring
3:31 into the third period.
Exeter continued to fight
to tie the game but
Thamesford closed the
door by scoring an empty
net goal with 26 seconds
left while Hawks goalie
Ryan 011son was pulled for
the extra attacker.
Known for their aggres-
sive play, Thamesford
ended up with 24 penalty
