And a good team is exactly what the Exeter Jr. D Hawks found them- selves up against in a 4-2 home loss to the Thamesford Trojans. "Thamesford was on Sherwoods on a ei game winning streak HENSALL — Talk about a turnaround. The Hensall Sr. A Sherwoods continue their hot streak with their eighth win in a row at home versus Tavistock Saturday night. After playing a lackluster first period, the Sherwoods xploded for seven goals in the second period on their way to a 9-1 trash-, L'ig of Tavistock. The score was 1-1 after the first period. Sean McCann and Chris Kennedy each had two goals and two assists while Chad Ramer added two goals and an assist. Marty Debruyn, Jason Schilbe and Brent Mills added single goals, Schilbe adding two assists. Sherwoods coach Dale Timmermans said his team played an "unorga- nized" first period. "We retied our skates and came out and scored on the first shift (of the second period)," he said "It was all downhill for Tavi after that." t The win brings Hensall's record to 11-3- 1, good for 23 points and first place in the division. Clinton sits at second place with 18 points while Wellesley is in third. The Sherwoods next' host Wellesley tonight (Dec. 22) at 8:15 p.m. "No doubt they'll be seeking some revenge for the win we got down there," Timmermans said. Hensall doesn't play again till Jan. 5's home game versus Goderich. 8:15 p.m. at the Hensall Arena their best behaviour for once," Exeter coach Andy Friyia said, adding it may be the- first time this Thamesford didn't end up with more penalties than their opposition. Despite the loss, Friyia was generally happy with his team's performance. "We came within a goal of winning against one. of the best teams," he saw "I have no complaints. Once again we have proven we can play against the big teams in the south." Exeter's record falls to 14-12-1, good for 29 points and second place in the Morenz Division behind Lucan who has 35 points.
