Baptism conducted at Sain
SAINTSBURY - Nov. 28, Kevin, Lisa
and Mex Van Schaick entertained a
large gathering of family members,
friends and congregation from St.
Patrick's to a reception in the parish
hall following the baptism of their
children Melanie Elizabeth and Adam
Lee.
On Monday, Stevie MacGillivray,
Rose Cunningham, Margaret Carroll,
Viola Atkinson, Hazel Davis and
Heather MacGillivray enjoyed lunch at
the Country Hearth Restaurant in
Komoka and an afternoon visit with
Mabel Needham a former member of
St. Patricks who is a resident of the
Country Terrace Nursing Home in
Komoka.
On Thursday evening Heather
MacGillivray and mother-in-law Stevie
MacGillivray enjoyed a pot luck
Christmas dinner and program,
guests of Holy Trinity Ladies Guild in
Lucan.
St. Patrick's ACW will hold their
Christmas meeting on Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.
at the home of Rose Cunningham.
St. Patrick's Sunday School Concert
and Christmas ,Pageant will be held on
Dec. 11 at 7:38 p.m. (note time
change).
Dec. 5, St. Patrick's was tastefully
decorated for the Advent Season with
lit Christmas trees, flowers and gar-
lands throughout the church and
parish hall as the congregation gath-
ered for their Holy Eucharist 2nd
Sunday in Advent.
The Rev. Stanley Jay was officiant
for the 10:30 service with his message
"Seeking Salvation Through Isaiah".
Katie -Scarlett MacGillivray lit the sec-
ond candle in the Advent Wreath for
Peace.
Rose Cunningham assisted with the
scripture readings and was server for
the service.
Suzanne Davis and Starr attended
the Dashwood In p
dustries Christmas Party held at
Fanshawe Pioneer Village on Sunday,
as the village celebrates a Victorian
Christmas.
Arnold and Rose Cunningham were
Saturday visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Gord Wright of Dungannon, Saturday
evening Ron and Margaret Carroll vis-
ited with the Cunningham's.
Annual drive for food
Exeter's annual food drive for the Christmas Bureau and Noah's Ark food bank
took place on Saturday with help from the Scouts, Guides, parents and the fire
department. Some of the helpers on Saturday included, in front from left, Scouts
Brad Foster and Scott McGregor and in back, volunteer firefighter Leonard
Keenan and Scouts Brad Keys, Nick Brand, Craig Skochinski and Graham Smith.
