Door decorating contest at SHDHS
Hello and welcome to the second week of
December. We have many things happening at
the school in the next week so please read on.
The Student Council is having a door decorating
contest all this week. The students will decorate
their period one class room doors using a
Christmas theme. They will be judged on
Friday of this week. So remember to bring
in your decorations!
Last week I wrote about the Semi -
Formal. There has been a slight change in
the price of the tickets. They will now cost
$8 but each student will receive a 5 X 7
picture of themselves and it will be taken
by a professional photographer at the
Semi -Formal. I'm sorry for the inconve-
nience this might have caused.
All next week the Student Council will be
selling Christmas Kisses.
Christmas Kisses are little messages with
a treat sent to people in the school by their
friends. They cost 25 cents and will be delivered
on Dec. 17. They are a great way to show some
Christmas spirit so come out and send one to all
of your friends.
Members of the class of OAC Drama asked me to
announce they are putting on a Comedy Night on
Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. It will be a collection of skits
from all "genres" of comedy. They have been
working on it for the past month and are encour-
aging everyone to come out and see it.
Pete Fragiskatos guaranteed me, "if you come,
you will laugh." You can't argue with Pete, so be
sure to see the OAC Drama students in action!
That's all for me, 1 will see you next week!

About 20 avid readers were on hand at the Exeter
Library on Saturday to celebrate '99 in '99', a program
encouraging youngsters to read 99 books this year.
Children who have achieved their goal received a gift
certificate for books from the Friends of the Library
and celebrated with snacks. Pictured above Friends of
the Library member Pat Patterson, left, presents a gift
certificate to Charlotte McEwan, who read each of
her 99 books twice. The program, designed to
encourage reading, continues and entries will be
accepted at the library until Dec. 30. (photolScott

Okay, 200 channels may seem excessive (or even obsessive) to some. But with Bell ExpressVu Satellite TV you
at least get a choice. Lots of channels. And you can pick and choose the types of channels you want. This
way you don't pay for what you don't want. Get our Deluxe Combo and get 100 channels for $36.95 a month.
Try getting that from your cable company. Complete digital systems are 5399 (before programming credit).
