Thursday evening the residents enjoyed infor- mation in regard to Travellers' Corner. They discussed material about the state of Maine, cul- tures, traditions, geo- graphical information, history and fun facts. Twenty members attended the resident council meeting on Friday afternoon. Family mem- bers also attended and discussion took place on the various aspects of the home. The annual resident/family dinner held on Sunday afternoon was once again success- ful. The afternoon started off at 2 p.m. with resi- dents and family mem- bers collecting numbers for the time their family choose to eat. Entertainment started at 3 p.m. with Phyllis Deichert, Bob Gilmore, Harvey Smith, George Mathonia, Brian and Don Bedard. The Bedard's are brothers of resident Mary Romaniszyn. At 4 p.m. Christa Ducharme, daughter of staff member Bonnie Keller played a wide selection of Christmas music for the audience on the piano. At 5 p.m. Idella Gabel played classical Christmas melodies for the group. Tickets were sold on a knitted lady's vest donat- ed by J.B.S. Clothing, Cheltenham for the resi- dent council fund. Maria Mathonia of Zurich was the lucky winner. Family and friends of Elda Bender held a sur- prise 85th birthday party in the Blue Water Rest Home Apartment Lounge the evening of Nov. 26.
