December 1. 1999 Friends of the Games Fund-raising for the 2001 Summer Games continued in Grand Bend last week as Oakwood Inn owner Dave Scatcherd, far right, donated a cheque for $2,001 raised at the summer Luau. Four hundred tickets are expected to be sold for the event which will include a band, fireworks and dignitaries. The group will put on a program at the Blue Water Rest Home on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. Harold Finkbeiner wel- comed Joe Miller, a new member of the Dashwood Seniors. A euchreama is to be held at Sebringville, Nov. 25 at 10 a.m. Harold Finkbeiner read the financial report for the Senior Games Committee. On Jan. 17 at 12 noon the seniors will have a pot luck dinner with June Rader's Group in charge. All seniors welcome. Evelyn Pickering read a thought .to take home with you.
