Winter weather brings on overheated
homes and low humidity.... ideal condi-
tions for nose bleedp. Ensure your home
has enough moisture itis the air.
Self -treatment of minor lacerations and abrasions that
could be prone to infection can be well-treated with
Bactroban cream. It's a non-prescription product that
has excellent antibacterial effects, an improvement on
existing antibacterial ointments.
Diabetes is a leading cause of kidney disease. High
blood pressure adds to kidney damage. Diabetics keep
their blood sugar under control but it's also important to
keep good control of blood pressure. Four out of 10 dia-
betics have high blood pressure, so regular monitoring
is very important.
Valerian is an herb that has been known since ancient
Roman times. It is classed as a "mild tranquilizer" and
in Germany it is used for "restlessness and sleeping dis-
orders brought on by nervous conditions". It appears to
be a safe herb and a trial of two weeks should tell if it's
going to work for you.
