The residents gathered in the auditori- um with their rhythm instruments and played along to the numerous musical numbers with their host. Residents' Florence Cudmore, William Leibold, Philippa Steckle, Beatrice Rader, Pearl Miller, Muriel Carson, Stewart Thiel, Josephine Dietrich and Carman Lovie received gifts from the auxiliary in honour of their Nov. birthdays. The Christian Reformed Church entertained the resi- dents on Tuesday evening with the singing of many favourite hymns. Wednesday afternoon the residents and friends gathered in the auditorium for tea and • cookies served by Ann McBride. The Zurich Connection entertained the residents on Thursday evening. Eleanor and Art Horst, Helen and Lloyd Otterbvein played piano, violin, guitar, dobra and rhythm instruments to old familiar tunes. Queensway residents • enjoy donut day HENSALL - The Bethel Reformed Women of Exeter provided assis- tance and prizes for bingo Monday after- noon. Retirement home residents also enjoyed a quiz and current events in their lounge. Winnie Hutton, pas- toral care volunteer led worship service Tuesday afternoon .with a message on, "Where do we get our light and warmth from?" Belva Fuss was volunteer pianist and Mang Cole assisted residents Kay Mock was in Wednesday to take the Tuck Cart to residents. There are library books available as well as magazines and newspa- pers on the cart and residents can also choose from numerous sundry items. There was an excel- lent turnout for donut day on Friday as resi- dents and staff paused at 2 p.m. to share con- versation and company over coffee and a donut. In the evening Carol Lebeau and Bill Pepper entertained for Friendship Friday in the retirement home lounge. Bob Lebaeu was a welcome volunteer dance partner for those wishing to dance and everyone enjoyed the keyboard and fiddle music while volunteer, Betty Simmons served refreshments. Geri Fashions brought their stock to Queensway on Saturday for everyone's shopping convenience. Volunteer Edna Dietz was in to provide assistance for residents wanting help with their choices of style and size. The com- munity is always wel- come to come in and take advantage of the large variety of clothing choices available from Gerri Fashions. Coming events Nov. 25, 6 p.m. Seniors Dinners. 7 p.m. Birthday party with The Huron Singers. Nov. 26, Staff Christmas party. i It was off to the Goderich Suncoast Mall for an after- noon of Christmas shopping for residents Bernice Cann, Esther Makins, Kurt Gebel, Harry Clelland, Loftus Denomme and George Chapman. Driver Jim Purvis, and volunteers Molly Gowdy, Thea VandenBoom, Barbara Cohen assisted Adjuvant Charlene Finkbeiner. The residents peruged the shops, admired the stock and Christmas decorations, and relaxed at the coffee shops with their favorite piece of pie. The Fellowship Singers sang gospel music for the residents on Sunday afternoon. Gail Mason as soloist, Don McIntosh as soloist and violist, also sang along with the four piece harmony choir. Cary Grant in "His Girl Friday" entertained the resi- dents for their Monday afternoon movie. Rev. Brian Williamson, Lake Huron Community Church, Grand Bend conducted Thursday afternoon Chapel Service. Fr. Matthias Wronski, St. Boniface Church, Zurich led the catholic service on Thursday (i) TOYOTA and Sunday morning. The Annual Resident/Family Christmas Dinner will be held on Nov. 28. Tilt staff/board of Directors' Annual Christmas Dinner will be held in the auditori- um of the Zurich Community Centre on Friday, Dec. 3. Rick and Julie, a night club act from Sudbury will pro- vide the evenings entertainment, awards will be given to long term staff members and dinner will be served by Rini and Doug Erb Catering of Zurich. The Auxiliary displayed their talents on Monday in deco- rating the home for the Christmas season. The residents look forward to the Grand Bend Golden Agers on Nov. 22, the Lakeview Conservative Church Choir on Nov. 23, dinner at Zurich Dining for Seniors on Nov. 24, a resident council meeting Nov. 26, the piano students of Sandra Regier Nov. 29, and their Buddy Program and the Merry Makers on November 30.
